Please UBI - STOP making us watch/skip the Intro-Video over and over again!

Yes we know we can skip the video by pushing a button longer. But It just slows down loading times. Please just do not play the video once its viewed.

On PC you can skip the intro by pressing ESC. It takes 1-2 seconds at the most...

Just tried this out on my PC. Works great. Game goes straight to the menu. I made the changes to the files by hand. Just added "OLD" to the file name.


Yeah, on PC this is the type of thing that gets replaced with a blank video, when possible, if the developer doesn't add a configuration option.

It is basically a file rename if you are on PC.

"After a quick search all I seemed to find were people complaining about intros during the beta so I decided to do a little work myself.
1st off find your way to your wildlands game folder then to the videos folder.

My steam version for example was "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Wildlands\videos"

Then go about renaming some of the specific files. We have

Nvidia.bk2
Ubisoft_Logo.bk2

as obvious ones. I tend to just add .bak to the end of the file names so I can get to them easier if a problem occurs.
The next 2 are in a subfolder called TRC and from there you pick your current game language and change the names of the 2 files in there.

Epilepsy.bk2
WarningSaving.bk2

Once done you should be able to start up the game right to the "Press Any Key" screen.
As an added bonus you can change the "This is operation kingslayer, listen up" video that starts right after you press your any key by changing the

VIDEO_EXPERIENCE.bk2

file. Have fun starting right into the menu screens." - brbote

I guess you don't realize it is a simple rename. Rename them yourself. The information to do it yourself is right there in the text.
