Last Stand appears to be dying, longer and longer to field teams.
Noticing longer and longer delays whilst it tries to find a line up.
Seeing many of the same agents in consecutive games.
These 2 things suggest the playing stocks are thin on the ground.
Why would the Last Stand be dying already?
1. Lag, from down under there are times where I have died in cover and there is no other agent to be seen, dying from a fight several seconds old.
2. The lag means I hardly ever win a head to head shoot out despite being 9450 firepower equipped, running a Bullfrog AR at 997 rpm and 528K DPS with every possible CHC, CHD, EAD, Headshot enhancement available, with health boosts on all available armour. Means 295K toughness, not high but should be strong given DPS firepower stats.
There are some skilled agents who move and multi task attack that I could never kill but it is hard to know with the lag effect.
3. Ridiculous ease with which you die in a ridiculous fast TTBK of under 1/2 a second of gunfire, not to mention countless deaths to seeker mines and hand grenades, the OP effect of stun turrets that hold you until you have died, no chance to defend yourself, dying many times with out firing a shot to an enemy you did not see, they just hit the dum dum launch button and you have your fate sealed by a faceless enemy in a PVP, player versus player format where some rounds more deaths were to explosive means that bullets exchanged in anger.
4. Ridiculous mechanics where an agent can walk up to you through a hail of bullets and take you out, the same agents who will defend the shot gun stagger at close range which renders you completely unable to defend yourself. If they are arguing for reality then there is no way any agent should be able to continue walking up to you whilst you are firing a hail of large diameter bullets at 800 plus round per minute, where is the stagger effect then.
5. The cheats, so many reports it has undermined agent confidence in a even playing field, combined with a complete absence of Massive doing anything about the cheats.
CONCLUSION: It appears to be dying, which is a shame as I love the concept and whilst I get frustrated it is great fun and so challenging to get some kills and a team win.
What would I change: Pair it back to real basics, no BS seeker mines or turrets, sticky bombs, even out the stagger effect, make cover a real bonus, like 15% armour boost with penalties for getting caught in the open, increase the TTBK to make it more difficult to win, but nerf heals and booster shots so a skill build can not be almost unkillable.
Back to basics, agent with a gun Versus an agent with a gun, limited hand grenade access with a time out delay.
