Through a couple of run-throughs at most of the provinces, I've always found it a bit frustrating (especially when playing on SP) that everything resets/respawns as soon as you fast travel. Using Barvechos as an example since I was playing on that province today, I cleared an outpost, destroyed three SAM sites, and then cleared the base in the story mission. I wanted to grab a plane and fly into Montuyoc (sp?) using the route I had previously cleared with the three SAMs, so I fast traveled to the city of Barvechos and hopped in the plane. I started heading SW only to be met head-on by all the SAMs I had just destroyed not 45 minutes earlier.

I am having trouble keeping my suspension of belief going when I will completely clear out an area, fast travel, and everything is immediately restored. I understand that there may be client-side or server-side limitations when on Co-Op, but in SP you should be able to play for an extended period of time without the map resetting itself. I don't know what parameters would have to be made (for instance, map persistence resets every 2 hours or upon death), but I believe that it would go a long way toward making this a more authentic experience.

Eventually--though I admit this is unlikely to expect in SP and even less so in Co-Op--I would love to see Rebels begin to control huge swaths of territory as you liberate Bolivia from Santa Blanca control. It would be a cool way to give the player a genuine feeling of progress being made. This isn't the DIvision, where the game is meant to go on perpetually as an MMO. It's a SP/Co-Op open world game driven by a story/narrative. Sure, other open world games reset locations with enemies, but not immediately. For instance, Skyrim resets dungeons and caves the player clears every 30 in-game days (estimated). Something like that could take effect in GR:W and certainly not break gameplay.

Does anyone have any thoughts? I'll edit this and expand upon it, just a semi-late-night stream of consciousness based on my observations thus far.
