SOOoo many times, I'm flying the plane along fine, until my landing approach. The second I slow down to land, the camera goes wonky, flips around backwards, and I nosedive into the tarmac.
That one fix would silence 90% of your vehicle control critics.

The camera has no effect on the controls, so as long as you don't make any sudden moves when the camera is off you should still go where you should.

Tip: don't fly planes because you're not good pilot, if you're jerking on final approach, go around and try again , don't force a bad landing

The camera has nothing to do with the movement. I can circle around the camera and it doesn't affect the movement. You press forward, it goes forward regardless the orientation of the camera.

I've not had that happen either, sounds like a button conflict

Indeed. It would be nice to be able to look around and enjoy the scenery while flying without the camera resetting to its preferred angle all the time.

I second this. Would be nice for other vehicles like cars as well. For instance, using an armored vehicle in combat. You're driving around all over the place to let whoever is manning the gun shoot, you press reverse and the camera tries resetting back while moving it around. It's incredibly inconvenient.
