    Remember 2 v 2.

Just a topic to remember the good times of 2 v 2. You know, when it was actually you and your partner fighting 2 opponents? Instead it got replaced by a game mode where you 1 v 1 someone, if you win you get to wait and watch 2 other people fight. Seriously why isn't anyone playing 2 v 2? If you join in and help your partner the whole lobby turns on you, even your teammate will watch the opponents 2 v 1 you just so he can 1 v 1 them both after you die. It's weird. Has something happened to 1 v 1 and all the duellers are playing brawl now? Why does nobody enjoy a 2 v 2 fight?

Apparently if you are the kind of person that takes things really literally, the title of the game means you have to do this.

Okay, it's the whole honour code concept. The kind of people that will tell you the game is about honour because it is called FOR HONOR. They cannot get past that, everything must be done honourably. They have pretty much taken over the Brawl community as you have found out. They have a set of rules about honourable combat, allowing people to finish their 'duels' even though it is a 2 vs 2 Brawl, not 2 Duels. They have rules about not interfering, about not teaming up against a foe, or helping your team mate. Everything is bows and salutes and waves and then you must all form a nice line while you wait your turn to fight your enemy, even if he is cutting your team mates head off.

Complete BS to me. There have been many many arguments on these forums about honour and what it means in this game, should you follow an imaginary made up honour code that exists only in your head or should you just play the damn game.

You can tell what side I am on I think

Anyway, most of this seems to have come from the title of the game, people would regularly say 'BUT the game is called for HONOR so you must be honourable / follow this code' - explains my first comment

Okay, I understand now, & I agree. I just don't understand what is wrong with playing duel if you want to 1 v 1. There's no need to play brawl if you don't want to end up in a 2 v 1 situation.

Exactly, I don't understand it either.

I have said before, if you went into that battle together with your friend, it is not your job to go home and tell his wife and children that you stood and watched while a Samurai cut your friends head off. That is not my definition of honour.

Sadly this is why I only do Brawls if there is a Daily Order for them, and then I play how I like and if they don't like it, tough.

Teaming up on someone takes no skill. Majority of people would rather do 1v1 because its about skill and it makes you better at the game. Its just like throwing someone off the map. Yeah its in the game but it makes you look bad because you go for an easy kill.

I don't brawl a lot. For some reason I have bad luck with partners or its just my L2P issue but when I do brawl, if I beat my opponent, I will go find my teammate and hope he is still alive. I will not instantly jump into the fight due to the revenge factor. That would most likely get both of us killed. I will wait to see if my teammate actually needs my help and if he backs off a bit due to exhaustion or he is low on health, then I will jump in and do my best to try to get the win.

Look bad and win or look good while losing. yeah.. no. I'll do what it takes to win. im not here to give my opponent the warm fuzzies of a long drawn out match if I can end it in 3 seconds.
