As usual UBI Soft puts in awful, simply awful, dialog into it's games and Widlands is no exception. Dialog in the game completely lacks content and variety. Every single time I place myself in a helicopter I hear the same dialog to the point where I hear it in my dreams! UBI has a great game with Wildlands but they need to invest in actual dialog that is up to par with other big games. I won't knock the fun factor of this game but at least give me an option to shut down the garbage dialog that is way too repetitive or fill the game with an adequate amount so that it doesn't keep replaying the same ones over and over again.
Hello Raziel - Thanks for your thoughts on this. Appreciate the feedback.Originally Posted by RazielDERF Go to original post

I definitely agree on the repetitive nature and extent of dialog in the game.
It is always hit and miss in regard to this aspect of a squad based military game. Especially, the banter between squad-mates.
Below is an example of probably the most entertaining squad banter that I have ever heard in a game.

I think the dialogue is pretty funny. I chuckled at most and I think Ubisoft nailed the wry, dark humor that goes with operators. I do wish there was more variety. Or at least program the game so that the same line does not repeat every time I fast travel... I think the quinoa discussion came up like 7 times in one session... which means I'm spending way too much time on this game. I like the idea of knowing who is speaking so that we get to learn their personalities... simply putting their last name, followed by colon and then their comment in the subtitles would be cool. Minor observation, though.
