I just wanna say thanks to the team, basically cried.
I shared this on Reddit but also wanted to bring it here, Let me start off by addressing the "cry part"
I'm a disabled veteran and since returning home from the military I've encountered a lot of health issues that seem to all just start hitting me out of nowhere. I was always afraid and worried to seek care because I thought the VA for whatever reason wouldn't cover it.
I had Pneumonia with a hospital stay, appendicitis that I had to have emergency surgery to remove because I sat on it for 5 days afraid to go to the hospital ER because I was afraid the VA wouldn't cover it and I would be foot basically a new mortgage payment for the surgery(~$16000). 20 days later and a few days before thanksgiving I had a gran mal seizure ($6900 bill). Week later I found my father unresponsive and unable to follow commands which resulted in him being hospitalized for two weeks.
Just recently learned I have a dysfunction in my spinal cord, whatever that entails now (I feel ok).
So you ask how does Ubisoft come into play? Well after the above mentioned I've just become use/numb to getting punch and kicked while I'm down so I've just been rolling with the punches taking them as they come...
So back in January I ordered the GRW Collectors Edition. When the game came out I got a package the next day, cool I thought I get to play now. WELL the package only had the reaper figurine and some posters.. no game. Well okay I thought I'll reach out and talk to them so I did and the guy in chat apologized and said they were out of stock and they would notify me when they had more. I thought to myself "just my luck I'll try to brush it off should of expected that" couple days go by and I get a digital download code for the game. Sweet that was that.
Well yesterday I got a random package with a letter, the package was a GRW backpack and the letter said the following,
We sincerely apologize that you did not receive your copy of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands game with your Collector's Edition. We recently converted our backend ecommerce system, and a warehouse configuration error caused your Collector's Edition to be shipped without the game.
We have corrected our system and you can rest assured that this incident will not take place again.
As a valued customer, please accept the enclosed Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands Tactical Backpack as a token of our appreciation of your business.
We regret any inconvenience this delay has caused you.

After everything I've been and gone through it was nice to just be acknowledged that not everything was my fault and I didn't have to just roll with the punches. Always so used to getting **** on that I never expected anything good.
To some this might be a sweet freebie out of a sour deal they had...
But this gesture means the WORLD to me.
So thank you for giving me that.
I just wanted to share this story because I don't have very many good ones anymore and gaming keeps me sane.
