    Suggestions from a loyal player

I will not give up on this game for multiple reasons. First, I am stubborn and I spent way too much money on this game to stop playing after only a month. But more importantly, I see that this game has the potential to be my favorite game ever. Potential.

I tested the game in the closed Alpha, closed Beta, and open Beta. Your test phases of the game were better than the game you sold and released. Here's why:

Gear stats. It all boils down to gear stats.

In the test phases of the game everything was based on skill, most of the characters were balanced pretty well everyone had more or less the same stats. When you released the game you introduced the purple equipment, which is completely broken. The jump from white equipment to blue equipment gives you a slight advantage, but the jump from blue to purple is completely ridiculous. A person will full purple equipment can easily take on 2 other players, and if they are good they can take on 3 and sometimes 4 while being ganged up on. This is not what the game should be about. If your intention was to reward elite players then why on earth did you make the purple equipment so easy to get?

The completely unbalanced stats makes it incredibly frustrating to try out a new character (who has no gear stats), especially if you are like me and have a total of 11 reputation spread between multiple characters. Every match I go to is filled with people who have WAY better equipment than me and have reputation 6+ on one character. Why make so many cool characters if you don't want people to use them all?

The easiest fix for this would be simple. Allow a mode of matchmaking for every game type that turns gear stats OFF. That way when I want to try the Lawbringer for the first time I am not pitted against 3 Orochis with a 108 gear level. And don't suggest that I try duel or brawl first, because those modes give garbage experience.

If you want to keep the gear stats you need to make more variety in how the stats are spread between the 3 stats. Completely filling one stat and almost filling a second is nonsense and makes players way too powerful.

Also you should consider the matchmaking process. As it is, players are divided into teams before they choose their characters. So many times you get completely unbalanced teams. EX: Blue team has 3 guys with white equipment and 1 with Blue vs. Orange team has 2 guys with purple, 1 with yellow, and 1 with blue. How do you think this match is going to end? No wonder so many people are rage quitting matches. Consider waiting to divide players into teams until after everyone has chosen a character. That way the game can divide teams to be more balanced.

I can go on and on, but this post is already getting long. The main problem is that the game doesn't look out for new players or players who want to try new characters.

Like I said, I will be playing this game a year from now. Don't respond to threats from players saying they will quit if you don't make changes; fix the game for players like me. I am loyal, I will play your game, I am upset. Fix the game. Balance it. Please.

    janstorm is 100% correct

The gear starts off ok, you can improve one stat at the cost of another. The second tier is a little better but then the third tier is godly. In case you don't know...One stat can be filled to the max and the second to about 80% while the third stat is depleted to nothing but generally is a worthless stat anyway if you get the right combo. One top-heavy from my Orochi in Revenge mode kills anyone I have tried it on who doesn't have legendary equipment yet or defense as their highest stat on a blue piece. The other player could hit me several times and almost defeat me with pure skill but all I have to do is get one or two good combos in or just one Revenge top-heavy and they are dead instantly. I saw someone respond to this thread about matchmaking being the real problem but there wouldn't be a match making problem if the legendary gear wasn't completely and unreasonably insane. I would love to see one of two things. Either they add a default equipment stat mode to Skirmish, Dominion etc. Or fix the legendary equipment. If they want to keep one stat maxed that is reasonable but lower the secondary stat to the default line or if they want to be really generous...50% at most.
Final thought which goes along with what janstorm was saying. I made a lot of friends in game who only played only one class and every single of them have quit and moved on to different games. I have around either 13 or 14 reputation distributed over 5 classes and plan to play the hell out of this game for as long as the servers are up. Please listen to loyal customers, not people who cry loudest and will quit the game next week anyway.
    Thank you
