    Story/Game Complete.... Thoughts and Observations

So I completed the story with 100% Cartel Destabilization and all weapons/accessories/docs collected.

Firstly a few minor gripes. I'm currently on 92% Game completion as I have a few trophies to collect. 3 of these appear tricky but I'll get them eventually: CLUSTER BOMBER and A BETTER MOUSETRAP where need you to kill 7 enemies in one hit with both C4 and Landmine and also PULL where you need to shoot down a chopper with a mortar..... Hmmm. However, there is also an outstanding trophy (SNIPER RIFLE FANATIC) for owning all the sniper rifles even though I have all the weapons in the game except for the specific models on the list that require you to buy them from the store, which I have no intention of doing. So why hasn't this trophy unlocked??? My only possible observation is that I used the Credits that came with the Gold Edition of the game to purchase the Sniper Pack early in the game...however, I have since collected all the crates that related to weapons in that pack and although they never updated (as I already owned them) I do wonder if this could somehow be bugging the trophy unlocking. Has anyone else experienced this or similar???

I loved the game overall, but do feel a little lost now the story is complete and wish there was a bit more to do still. I wonder if some more side missions could be devised that would be more interesting to do once the story line was complete.

It would be nice if encounters with Unidad could be made a bit more worthwhile. I have no problem with the overall difficultly level of Unidad, indeed when I'm bored I will often hole up and hold them off for up to 45 minutes before getting bored and either bugging out or allowing them to kill me. As long as I have my Mk48 LMG which turns the choppers into swiss cheese in seconds and access to an ammo re-supply crate it's just fine. However, it does feel somewhat pointless. What would be nice is if there was a limit to the number of waves that get sent so that you could actually win, rather than it going on indefinitely. It would also be nice if you could have an encounter summary stat screen at the end of a Unidad encounter, summarising how many soldiers you killed, vehicles destroyed, helicopters shot down etc. Even nicer would be if that total could be converted into some sort of supply reward or similar.

Another little gripe is the way helicopters slide to the bottom of any slope no matter how minor the gradient as soon as the rotors stop, often making it impossible to take off again as they get wrapped up in trees etc.

All in all though...a great blast, hours of fun!

If you need help with some of the trophies, google the cluster/mousetrap. The cluster is a lot easier (IMO). I ended up doing the latter in Media Luna at the northern most part of the province. There are a group of unidad/cartel members all by the side of the road. If you need help let me know, I tried SEVERAL times to get the trophy.

The chopper and mortar isn't too bad. It takes a bit of patience and "luck". Attract as many Unidad choppers as available (just find a place to protect yourself) or I suppose you can get ahead of a convoy where you know the flight path of a helo.

Did you complete all the side missions? (I believe one of bosses drops a sniper rifle.) If you have an iPhone you check the map via the GR app. It was useful for me after discovering I was missing a kingslayer file. (As Media Luna often shows 9/10 collected.)

    Hope this helps.

    Ending is LAME

    ***SPOILER ALERT***

I spent all that time killing/capturing all the underbosses, just to lead up to a big CUT SCENE with El Sueno, yeah, I didn't want to have any kind of epic fire-fight with the guy and his minions. Nope, just put a way point out there and you get rewarded with a lame-*** cut scene.

MacFeely??? WTF? How is that relevant to this thread?
Scoe141...cheers buddy. I actually did the Chopper and C4 challenge yesterday, was pretty easy actually. For the chopperI just did a chopper steal side mission but just raised the alarm then called in a mortar strike on the chopper, the shells rained in as the Pilot was taking off. Worked a charm. Not managed the mine one yet though. As for the sniper rifle, as I say I have all the weapons except the ones that you have to buy in the Store/Club. I'm pretty sure they aren't necessary to complete the challenge though or else the other Fanatic category challenges (SMG, etc) would have failed to update too.
