Still waiting for my friend to purchase... And there's no guarantee he will.

This is why I think Ubisoft or any developer is wrong to prioritise coop over singleplayer -- because those who have to or prefer singleplayer get short changed!

Unless you have friends that also want to get the game you are out of luck - because playing with randoms, (as everyone knows) especially with a game that emphasises team work, is complete rubbish!

I don't know why Ubisoft seem unaware of this fact?

Playing with Randoms is NOT fun.
Single player have no replay value.
Playing with randoms is no fun? Don't play random. Join a community that have same interest then add them, join-in their game whenever they are playing, etc.
You can still play the game solo. Don't play public matches.

So your main complain is with RANDOMS? okay.

I think what you really mean is that they should have both Coop and single player in mind. Both are viable. I bought this game because it was multiplayer but I agree that the single player should be good as well. Why not make both great.

The story isn't disjointed. It's an open world game where you can attack things the way you want in the order you want. It sounds like you prefer games that tell you where to go and what to do in what order, which is fine.
Ummmm no, not the same. One is with friends, the other with AI squad.

I can see that if you have three good friends that you coop games a lot with, you will probably have a better game experience in WL coop, but the more the devs work on the AI squad mates, the less that gap will be. Hopefully they haven't finished with them yet.

So many games out the would be a billion times better if co-op was an option! Never speak ill of co-op man!

I think everyone has missed my point....

I LOVE COOP.... Wish more games had that option.

I'm saying that playing this game, there's an overwhelming sense that the dev's designed the game with coop as the desired way to play ... NOT single player.
So it's not rocket science to understand that that's a problem if you haven't got any friends that own ghost recon ... And your now stuck playing solo...

And like I said - playing with randoms in coop is rubbish.. I've played with a few folks on this game and they just run around like goonbas! Or don't have mic's...

I work and have a kid. I don't have time to search out where all these 'decent' players are....

In my opinion - Games should be designed around the single player first and foremost, then everything else follows after. But only after the single player experience is polished. Then work on multiplayer and Co-op

I would say majority of players still play solo either as a preference, or they just don't have friends who have bought the same game.

Yes there is a single player in this game - but it feels half-a$$ed, rather than a fully fleshed out experience. Alot of the reviews touched on this issue - so I'm hardly alone in this.

I'm mean the AI Team are woefully inconsistent and SOOO limited in how you can use them tactically!
At least you can tell them to hang back, but it's a freakin waste. Playing solo could be amazing!
I mean thank goodness the core gameplay is pretty solid, and is this games saving grace.

    I mean just imagine,

IF the Team AI functioned properly OR if you could give INDIVIDUAL ORDERS to your Squadmates this game would be amazing when played solo!!

I mean at present you can't even tell your team to defend a position, laying down fire on the enemy, whilst you flank round behind ....

    I mean that's like BASIC!

I was playing mass affect Andromeda today – blimey I can tell one guy to go to the left, tell one guy to the right, while i flank around behind the enemy ...

    This is an RPG!

It's a simple system but it works...

Why can't GRW offer those same tactical options?

The AI teammates will follow your orders at all times, except when they're forced to retaliate. They are not fully autonomous. They rely on what you order them to do. They are as good (or as bad) as your leadership skills. If you go on your own to do whatever and leave them behind, they will follow you, but don't expect them to read your thoughts or anticipate your moves, because they won't. The ability to give individual orders sounds good, though, but is it really necessary? Practice your leadership skills and you'll see that the AI are very reliable...
