Hidden stance has a very precise timing and a bit of start up, the dodge comes, I believe, about when she is in mid spin, I haven't been able to use it often enough to be sure because it is tricky to pull off in the heat of the moment on console as you need to be very precise with the thumb stick(I would love to be able to switch HS and all block to clicking the right stick rather than pulling back as Destiny have an option for with their dodge but that's an unrelated issue). There is also that hidden stance only dodges the first attack, so even if your timing was right for the first light attack, the other two would hit you. Usually I used it to dodge a heavy so I could punish coming out of it or as a means into kick other than an attack.
yea I'm kind of rep 11 and I do know the timing of my hidden stance...not perfectly but good enough and I can tell when the hit should hit and when it should not. But your talking about the incorrect situation. Unless you are telling that if someone starts a 3 hit combo then I can use hidden stance only for the first attack and not get hit and can't use HS to avoid a secound attack. I can already tell that that is not true. Of corse HS does not have enough "dodge timing" to dodge 2 attacks but when used you should be able to dodge any attack. 1st , 2nd or 3rd and I did so many times.
That's much more descriptive. Sadly I'm afraid I can't help. I only played nobushi for a while (I was actually interested in getting to know it) but as I did that I had to stop playing for a few and I only did a few game since on my warden, so there's that.
All in all, it seems to me, it's an issue with timing? Hidden stance's dodge property obviously has a frame (it doesn't dodge, let's say, the first attack or something like that), I guess you're botching that?
Personally I only ever used hidden stance (apart from input errors) as a bait (like dashing towards the opponent into hidden stance), generally timed as I would a dodge or a bit early.
I never noticed anything weird (I should got hit when I got hit and vice versa).
