In the beginning, why is Pac Katari upset that there's only the four of us?

Doesn't he realize that we're Ghosts?

No he doesn't, and technically the US "doesn't" have special forces in Bolivia, andin many writings the Ghosts don't exist. Then Katari is used to his rebels, poorly trained fighters with any beater rifle he can muster up. So he believes that in order to take down the cartel you need an army. Where as the Ghosts are supposed to have top of the line gear, the best training and as karen says, the best special forces soldiers the US has to offer. Which that is something Katari probably knows nothing about, he doesn't likely know about the versatility of special forces operators.

That certainly makes sense. Thanks for the insight.

Because he's realistic... Honestly lol. The fact that four people can destabilize an entire cartel that controls an entire country is insane. Not to mention that they consitently win firefights against groups of 30+ using people using helicopters and miniguns. Pac doubting them is about the only realistic aspect in the game lol. The fact that we can even walk around in broad daylight without having Unidad and Santa Blanca rain down on us in a heartbeat is insane. There would be a witch hunt out on us as soon as we killed the first Buchon. If it takes CAG and seals using a group of 20 guys to take down a high leveled ISIS target what makes people think it's realistic that 4 SF dudes and a CIA handler can dismantle an entire drug cartel that controls an entire countries infrastructure?

That's why I said supposed to, and not that they do. Technically there is nothing wrong with the guns you start with, obviously they game isn't very accurate to real life counter parts as they need progression in the game. However the arsenal is rather limited at the start of the game considering a sniper rifle, LMG and a shotgun should be available and atleast an EoTech or Acog. However some of the best guns in the game can be had at level 1 if you are willing to spend a little time going after them, or you could take the easy way out and buy them.

Had they put just a little bit of effort into it, this could have been easily explained with a bit of fluff. Such as the Ghosts entered the country as tourists and their gear was supposed to be smuggled in separately, but the shipment was intercepted, so they had to make do with what they got from the rebels, or something like that.

The first mission would have been tracking your equipment and only managing to salvage the drones.

Thanks for sharing your idea demonisbest! Sounds like that would be a fun mission.
