    MISSION FAILED: You've been detected!

I am at a loss about the logic used by the developers for these missions.

One of the big selling points during the advertising for this game was "you can play it however you choose to" Total stealth, total full on assault or a mixture of both. However, these mission are illogical, annoying and frustrating.

If an enemy see me and I kill him before he can sound an alarm, how is that a mission fail? Due to the use of cocaine have the Sicarios now developed telepathic abilities? Upon death does a monitor go dark like in Aliens 2?

This mechanic is a bit overdone in my opinion. Sure lets not raise an alarm, that would be a mission fail, but if someone sees me for a split second and then is killed that is also a mission fail?

Also, it may just be me:

Why are missions leading up to taking down a boss frustrating do overs many times and then taking out the boss is dead simple.

Now while this mission is not a boss it was ridiculous:

Sneak into the truck depot and get the truck delivery schedules without being detected. 17 attempts over 2 play sessions and my friend and I got it done. Next mission, destroy the convoy. We get on the tail of the convoy, I put 3 rounds from an LMG into the tailing escort. it blows up and we get credit for destroying the whole convoy?

A lot of the missions are repetitious, and the game mechanic do interfere with some of them. I havent come across this particular mission yet, but it sounds ridiculous. Hope this gets fixed to where the alarm= mission failed.

    Thanks for the heads up

So its Ubisofts fault you used all your skill points on vehicle destruction rather than detection which you obviously need?
Its fair to believe those sicarios use an ear piece like us and you got about 2-3 sec to nail the guy spotting you, before he calls it in. If thats not enough for you besides, drones, thermal vision and what not I suggest you turn down the game level to easy. If its not already.
Or you can turn it into sexism, like the other ****head

You don't even need to be seen to fail one of these missions. I just did one and a guard didn't spot me but he saw a body which was enough to get the "Hunted" status and you fail from that.

First of all: Yes, it is Ubis fault that there is a skill system in a TC GR.
Secondly: You can hear their radio and if someone is 5m away from you and spots you in the seconde you break his neck I highly doubt that he could have been able to send a radio msg.

Regarding the rest... Think before writing. Please.

If I shoot a guy before he has a chance to alert anybody while he's the only one who saw me, how is it a failure? If he's on his radio and I kill him, I could understand that the rest of the mooks would be alerted by him being cut off, but he's not on his radio.

As far as being able to play your way, that's not really handled well. At least in MGSV, you could spec some development into increased body armor to allow you to deal with the reinforcements that would be called if you were in an open engagement. Here, you don't have that option, so you'll get potshotted by a door gunner while the ground troops shred you. Sure, Ghost Recon is traditionally a stealth series, but since it went open world, you'd assume they'd give you more options as far as play style goes.

To set the record straight I am maxed out on detection skills on the drone etc.

If a guard is killed and someone sees thew body - Fail
If you are seen by a guard - Fail

I've watched a number of vids and yes its all about stealth. I don't know where you are in the game but get ready for allot of these missions.
My point I guess is: "where is the part where I can do the mission any way I want to?" There is only one way this mission can be done and that is firing only 1 shot as there is a single guard watching the only way out of the truck depot and you have to snipe him to get out. Ok so you say they have ear pieces like we do. I guess the one we are allowed to kill to get out of the camp left his on dresser?

I can totally see your frustration with these missions.

I would say the most challenging was the mission where you have to drive the truck into the base, photograph the documents and leave without being detected.

That's the one the OP is talking about. But you don't even have to drive a truck through the gate, there's a break in the razor wire on the wall in the back corner of the wall where you can get over (literally right next to the room where the documents are). Just kill the sicarios in that back area, photograph the intel, then move along the back wall to the opposite side of the compound, kill one last sicario, use the ramp to get out, and simply leave the area.
