Speak of the devil, just today all the classes got a new Elite Outfit, including a new Ornament. Small start for the Zerker's style, but I really love the new outfit, and ornament.
Earlier today in a Duel match, I also encountered the deflect bug for the first time. I was fighting another Zerker, and through the 5 rounds I got maybe 4-5 deflects, and they bugged out possibly up to 3-4 times.
I see my GB animation play, but am unable to do anything beyond that, my Zerker acts as though I was counter GB'ed however, and my opponent continued his attacks unhindered.
Interesting technique, I'll have to try it, though it sounds difficult as hell. After I hit Rep 5 or thereabouts, I had to start weaning myself off the Infinite Chain, since most kinda-sorta experienced players can counter it no problem, consistently, making it worthless.I feel the class outshines in 3v1 scenarios, you can perform your infinite chain attacks while changing target locking. Once you master that, you get that adrenaline feeling of rage ;p. That is the sole reason I play the zerker. No other hero can do that.
I also looked over the Zerkers move set earlier, just as a refresher, and, funnily enough since you mention excelling in 3v1, the Zerker gets a Renown bonus for winning 1v1 fights. So paradoxical.
I hate those, all they do is obscure whatever engraving or emblem you're wearing. With only minor addition to it like adding small bars for protection, and those small gold colored balls.
Personally, I'm using the standard armor (love that Mjolnir belt and furs), the standard shoulders (best for showing off the Realistic campaign engravings), the Procyon mask with the new Spiked Crown ornament, and full set of Vanir axes.
Aesthetically, it looks perhaps a little bland compared to the higher level sets, what with all them gold balls and intense golden axes and plaid shirts, but I like it.
I personally think, that theres too much space between the face and especially this mask.. it looks kind of weird and floating in fron of her face.. wished they would be kind of adapted to the face or at least a little bit more close to the actual face, they should protect.Originally Posted by Absalon L16 Go to original post
Doesn't look floaty to me, seems to fit nicely. Maybe it looks differently on lady Berserkers?Originally Posted by Hammelsneid Go to original post
If you read the Berserker cosplay reference guide, they actually tell us "The mask of the Berserker is worn more to instill fear than it is for protection."wished they would be kind of adapted to the face or at least a little bit more close to the actual face, they should protect
Hell, I'd be all for a Berserker armor style that's just pants, and a bear pelt for a cape, nothing else.
I really want cosmetic options that involve zero armor at all. No shoulder pads, no mask, nothing. I also personally dislike the look of the higher tier weapons. I like the handles wood, maybe carved, and very basic no frills zero aesthetic quality historically accurate axe heads. Also opposed to double edged. I'm not opposed to all these flashy things being in game, just for my personal use.

Hehe, I'm pretty sure that every Zerker will be happy, if his for-fear-only-intended mask blocks off one or two blows to the faceOriginally Posted by Absalon L16 Go to original post.. but seriously, the purpose of the mask does not justify, that it does not look good on my berserker lady imo.. but tbh I'm really picky when it comes to graphical details. So maybe I'm just expecting too much.
With my Berserker Lady? Hell, yes xDDOriginally Posted by Absalon L16 Go to original post
Exactly my point on those bars for protection, as a rep 12 zerker now, I still use the open shirt with Mjolnir cosmetic looks.Originally Posted by Absalon L16 Go to original post

Here are few examples from the internet (sources from Pinterest, and courtesty of Guild wars' Gamewallpaper.com)
and if we're talking about bars for protection and those golden balls.. with those glasses to scare people off.. might as well go full armor with animal pelts and horns (wishful thinking)

I was very disappointed to see that they didn't talk about buggy mechanics today, but rather, talked about buffing the Zerker with increased stats (was pleased that they actually addressed alot of the community's concerns though).
The Zerker doesn't need better stats (Zerker main here), the Zerker just needs to be able to move without weird delays, block correctly, and parry correctly. The Zerker being the second to the bottom statistically most certainly has alot to do with the buggy nature of her mechanics.
I'd much rather play a character that has perfect inputs and mechanics, than a character with bugs galore, that has OP stats to make up for inconsistent input behavior.
Right now they're on track for creating a character that will either steam roll through the opponent effortlessly, or die pathetically in an instant, rather than having a balanced character that is dependent on the user. I'm sorry but if the controls are inconsistent, the stats don't matter.
Those Reddit blackout folks need to organize protests for customizable hair color. The function's obviously there, I've no idea why they restricted it to rare helmets.Originally Posted by Hammelsneid Go to original post
The whole point of even including visual customization, unlike say Battlefield 1, is to create a unique character that's yours, an actual avatar to play through. Adding limitations to that defeats the whole purpose.
Honestly, I was a bit drunk last night when I suggested that, and kinda sorta forgot we have female 'Zerkers too. With my Berserker Lady? Hell, yes xDD
But now that I'm completely sober, and of course a reasonable mature adult gamer I can of course say that, yeah that would be friggin' awesome. Obviously no sensible game developer would ever dare put boobies alongside the graphic gore in a game like For Honor however, 'cause boobies are offensive. For some reason.
So I say the lady Berserker's can just wear an armored full metal spiked battle bra.
I really wish the Mjolnir belt buckle would actually have been on the Procyon chest armor. It's otherwise the same as the basic model, but with plaid patterns on the shirt, brown fur around the waist and dark blue striped pants.Originally Posted by Valor_Ash Go to original post
But the belt buckle is just a bland steel one, shame we can't mix and match armor pieces like that.
Animal bones as well perhaps, maybe a pair of axes using bear femurs for handles. Just something more bestial in general.I know its hard to develop different kind of Aesthetic looks for zerkers, as they dont usually wear any armor in terms of their lore. But It'd be a great idea if berserker's armors would be different kind of animal looks. Bear cape as you said, Wolf pelt etc..

I was disappointed that they said literally nothing about berserkers! Nothing!
The fact that they addressed berzerkers being at the bottom of matchups alongside lawbringer.
I never played a lawbringer and cannot comment on him, but I heard people talking about it and felt he does need changes to improve. But come on, you acknowledged berserkers needed help, but why didn't they say anything about it and only lawbringers?
from that stream alone, I felt the berserker hero was the least favored by devs
The least they could've done is address the issues and let us know that the devs knows about it. When they were talking, the only question hovering my head was "Do you know about berserker's bugs? or are you just assuming he has faults based on matchups stats?"
I'm honestly surprised that berserkers aren't overly popular in this game. A berserker is likenthr poster child for when you think of a Viking. I guess it's just the skill cap and our dirty hobo gear that shys everyone away.
I make it work though. I'm currently wearing the red bandana helm. The one you start with? Saw blade mowhawk ornament, Procyon chest(lumberjack flannel), hengels arms(really like the studded leather on the left arm, wish it covered the other arm too), and the full zaback axe set. Handles included. Finally got my right head, praise RNGesus!
