    Regarding Reticles

I believe having different reticle options would be a great addition to scopes. A thinner line, neon color reticle can make sniping a lot better at night. The majority of the reticles are thick lined, and black, making sniping a bit difficult at night, and at long range.

I am aware that theres night, and thermal vision. Thinner, neon color reticles will be an improvement to those options as well.

This addition shouldn't be too hard to implement.

Wilfully changing the sight/scope reticle doesn't really fit with the philosophy of a game trying to be a realistic tactical shooter. What's remotely realistic about being able to change the reticles at your whim? Go hunting for different sights and use the one that works for you.

A lot of things dont fit with this game trying to be a realistic tactical shooter. At this point, changing reticles wouldn't put a dent in it. It would actually help night sniping. As far as different scopes go, i have plenty, which is how i came to this conclusion.

Like what? Custom-skin reticle that allows you to see the target better = aim faster = more accurate = quicker kills. You're literally asking them for the ability to custom-skin sight reticles to make the game easier to play. In other words, changing an aspect of combat mechanics.

If we're going to just go off on player-desired tangents where do you draw the line on acceptable change? There has to be a line somewhere.

You do realize that in "real life" a lot of scopes have the option to change reticles? Do you also realize that different reticles are made for different purposes? Like the thickness plays a role in distance. You should look it up... and learn something.

Stop confusing stuff made for weekend-enthusiasts with military-grade hardware. Have you ever actually fired a military weapon at night through optics with NV? It's crazy hard, and that should reflect in a game based upon military operations...... I know first-hand how hard it is because I've done black-light on Ops.

Hence why I asked you where your line in the sand is...

Just cause it's "military grade" doesn't mean it's better, the whole made by the lowest bidder thing comes to mind here. Also it is a video game that is not even close to being a mil-sim, instant enemy reinforcements, health regeneration, magic heart stab reviving, switching of all guns and clothing on the fly, etc etc. So the ability to change reticles beyond the standard shapes and colors wouldn't be out of the ordinary.

I'm with the OP on this one

I'd also like to add, that changing reticules is indeed already in the game. Most of the non sniper scopes change their reticle when you press right on the D-pad while aiming. Like the Russian Redot sight for instance. It goes from the thick upside down chevron, to the three lined T shape if you press right on the D-pad. If you use the magnifier for it, you can also get a standard red dot reticle. That't three reticles for one scope!

Id like to bring something else to your attention, since youre so in favor of realism. The real T5Xi scope comes with different reticle options, SCR or H59. One has, youre not gonna believe this, neon red thin lines, the H59 also has a thin-lined detailed display.

Not one of the real T5Xi reticles match the reticle displayed in the game. I wonder if youre now in favor of this, more real than the game, idea.....?

A few of the reticules are unusable as is, the lines are way to thick/big to be of any use and only hinder one's performance.

Not to mention one's field of views increases when going up in magnification (that makes no ****ing sense) and I think that messes with the holdovers at different magnifications.

The military is hardly a benchmark for long range shooting nor are their rifles, ammunition, or optics a benchmark (outside maybe a handful of the Gucci units who can aquire things outside of large military solicitations/contracts.)

Given the Magnification and ranges one can actually see AI spawning in this ACSS HUD DMR reticule could be nice, at the very least for the Semi-Auto DMRs, the ACSS was designed with the help and feedback of "Military" Snipers who compete in military sniper competitions & some Designated Marksman and is used by Trijicon in a handful of ACOG's.

Would be nice to see a 1-8x (Leupold MK8 CQBSS) or 1-6x/1-8x (Trijicon Accupower/Accupoint) in the game

At the very least they should fix the ELCAN Spectre DR reticle https://1shotgear.com/sites/default/...?itok=A5A_IYEo.
