    Missing Corpses

    Hey !

I wonder how the corpses work in the game. Ive got a advanced difficulty and the funny thing is that they fade really fast, BUT in the truck deepo mision. (which is a stealthy mission) corpses remain and turn the alarm. It was really hard but i like it.
So my question is how the corpses work? At the highest diffuculty are the corpses remain?

PS: i know that is hard for a computer to let the bodies on ground..but im just wonder

    Thank you very much

It does not matter what difficulty you play.
If you kill any NPC, the body will remain as long you will look in that direction, just turn around and the dead body will be gone

    Hey Jay,

Correct, the bodies don't have a correlation with difficulty. We have received different feedback on this topic and having them stay on screen longer. Thoughts?

If it is technically possible, on the highest difficulty setting let the bodies remain on the ground till the player leaves the area.

There is no need to create new animations for carrying or hiding bodies. With the distraction tools, it is possible to lure the guard to a secluded spot before dropping him.

This adds another layer of strategy during the stealth incursion.

I think this would be very dependant on playstyle. Luring a guard to a secluded spot indicated close quarter engagement in at least some aspect. As I primarily play solo I cannot use my AI to lure an enemy to a secluded spot in order to take them down from afar (200-400m is my preferred range of engagement). I think possibly the bodies disappearing should be based on both your proximity to the body as well as whether you are playing solo or coop.

    Mega bump.

Corpse should stay untill you leave the area. I don't care if I can move them or not. I just want more consequence for stealth engagement of an enemy (patrol alerted from discovery of corpse)

    Agreed.

In an optimal solution I would like it if you could move bodies for when you are on the ground doing a stealthy approach. But I realise this would require a lot of additional resources in the way of mocap, animations, programming and the like.

Having bodies stay around much longer (maybe distance based within a few hundred meters of the area) would still be a big improvement. I believe longer lasting bodies helps to increase immersion, increase game difficulty (with more bodies around to be spotted) and force you to consider where and how you take down bodies relative to other patrols and guards.

I think they should be on a timer maybe clean up the bodies after say 2 mins, and when there are too many bodies around for those who like to rack up a body count

Agreed, bodies should stay until the mission area is left.

I think Bodies should remain until you evac the area and the mission or the task is complete. Personally think being able to move or hide the bodies is something that should have been implemented from the get go. I can see how if playing solo this would impede players who want to simply play marksman or sniper from afar and dissect the mission that way. I also imagine it is quite a task for this to get shoe horned into the game as is. But with UBISOFT having such a pedigree in titles such as Splintercell I would have though it something they could have accomplished with ease.

If a compromise could be reached where an ption to have this enabled/disabled then both parties would be happy. However I know it isn't as simple as just pasting a line of code into the game there is a fair share of work involved and in all honesty I'm Loving the game as it is but my main gripe is probably the vanishing bodies and lack of means to shift them. Even if certain areas where introduced like (Skips\Large barrels or bushes (environment specific) etc as to reduce the amount of work involved for the Dev/Animation teams etc. As this would in itself no doubt introduce a world of bugs.
