    Berserker raaaaaaaaaaaage

Not an omg nerf thread, I promise, just to get that out of the way.

I picked up berserker a couple of nights ago, watched the videos, all that, and I have had some very fun one on ones, hard cancels, soft cancels, all that fun, you need to with any semi decent conqueror as I found out and had a blast having a close match with. I do have a question about the endless chain. While I have had great satisfaction annihilating peacekeepers who started the game trying to light attack spam me (which is a particular bugbear of mine as peacekeeper was my first main and I tried not to, I honestly consider light attack spammers giving the character a bad name) am I getting into habits doing this that if I main berserker in high level play are going to damage me in terms of play in the long run? I am getting most of the tech down and it is more satisfying to me than the shield bash-light-sweep-heavy-shield bash-sweep-heavy wheel I fell into with the valkyrie, but since I have deliberately not gotten any more reputation points after the peacekeeper, to the point I only need one and a half levels to with another character so I can try out different characters in dominion and 4v4, I just wanted to make sure I am not committing to muscle memory a rod for my own back on a character I am otherwise enjoying.

High-level play as a berserker consists mostly of dodge-feinting for years-- praying for an opening, a chance to slip in a single light attack before going back to dodge-feinting and repeating the cycle.

Mostly this is because daring to combo with a zerker at high level will just get you parried-- and getting parried as a low-base-health zerker is terrifying.

If anything, it'll make you a more patient person.

Like Citizen Puddi said, The turtle meta makes zerker much more feint reliant than other classes. Its a damn shame. Zerkers need an unblockable,or perhaps a headbutt or something to mix things up. Right now all our attacks are super predictable, and in order to beat a mediocre skilled Warlord or Conq, the zerker needs to be much more skilled. It's just broken. They better do something before ranked mode is introduced.
