Simple suggestion, yes; Actual implementation, is another matter. Still, it would fix these peer-to-peer network issues players have reported often about.

I, for one, have noticed how the matchmaking system is unable to find a battle quickly and in order to search for any that could possibly be available for me at the time, it must go through this process of lowering the criteria. Basically, it must dumb-down its process just to stick me into any match. And when it fails to find one, or perhaps, it did find one, some sort of network error occurs.

It would really save a lot of time if the For Honor devs could implement the option to allow the player to host the battle. They can do this by allowing more options in the Settings page. Let the player choose to host if and when the matchmaking is unable to find a match with your specific region and strict level. We obviously can host our own match when we're only playing with bots. So it stands to reason that it is possible to add this handy feature when playing with other players.

Those who choose not to host, can simply just join one at their own risk. Those who choose to host, are doing Ubisoft and the community a whole lot of good.
