I'm not opposed to PVP, I just don't want it to affect weapons by all the rebalances. Please keep Co-op and PVP weapons statics separate. I do not want my sniper rifles or shotguns nerfed because someone is screaming this weapon, that weapon is OP. In my humble opinion, All the weapon and gear tweaks is what ruined The Division for the most part.
Even if weapons got nerfed in what way would it ruin PvE. NPC die in 1 bullet regardless of what weapon you use. So nerfing a gun isnt going to change that NPC will still die in 1 shot.
People are getting so scared over PvP for no reason at all just because of what happened with Division. People need to get over that crap
Why should they get over it, it happened didn't it? When you see a great game like TD systematically ruined in this way, who can be blamed for worrying?Originally Posted by xWTOx SkiLLz Go to original post
These games are completely different. Division was nerfed into the ground do to skills and gear being over powered.Originally Posted by fixer7267 Go to original post
Ghost recon is simply a shooter game no different from stuff like battlefield, cod, gta etc...
Of course nerfs in a looter game is going to ruin the game because all your power comes from the loot. But in a shooter all your power comes from your brain and skill. So again even if stuff was to get nerfed in wildlands in what way would it impact the PvE. Even if they nerf the damage on guns it would do nothing to PvE as you will still always be able to kill in 1 bullet.
Thats what I don't understand why people are so afraid so what they nerf a gun at the end of the day you'll still be one shotting NPC as thats the way the game is built.
The Division is an RPG with a damage per second, never ending escalating model. GR is a straight shooter. The end.Originally Posted by fixer7267 Go to original post
wrong,TD failed bcs Massive wanted to made "something completely different"Originally Posted by xWTOx SkiLLz Go to original post
they wanted to marry Pve with Pvp to create a Child called PVEVP which utterly failed (DZ)
it was nerfed bcs PvP crowd cried out loud enough been 1 shotted aso
as far as i know there is not one game which survived long enough where this Pvevp model is established
PvP in GRW will most likely be in seperated "arena's" and will not affect Pve in any way
i may be wrong but time will tell
What i'd liked to in a PVP mode in Wildlands is where the map is open to everyone say 5 to10 squads of 4 where a random target loction is opend up for all to eliminate .
So you get everyone trying to eliminate the target but while doing so everyone is out trying to wipe out the other teams ,upon eliminating the target you can either have
round finishes or have it as a last team standing during or after the tartget is eliminated .
Also what i have heard from player's in random co op games and on stream's is that they want full use of the map in PVP mode like a BATTLE ROYALE PVP mode
,now imagine a helo flying over head and your squad trying to take it out or a few sqauds .
Or even just the use of the ground vehicle's to get to the last location for the finale battle ,including several PVP modes to cater for every play style ,
just dont nerf any weapons thats all .
Wildlands is open to so much and neads a good PVP mode where skill and tactics come into play ,i hope the DEV's don't just chuck any old PVP mode in and leave it at that .
I hope this post is ok i'll get flamed by a few on here for this post but it's just an idea as to use the whole map and not just small sections of it .
Where everyone has the same gear items they can use that they have unlocked in the Solo campaign minus say the explosive drone if needed .
Keep in mind that TD nailed gear balance PVP in the end (Last Stand) by simply maxing all stats in the PVP arena (thus not affecting PVE at all), regardless of your actual stats. Of course they should have done that from the beginning (because it's not a new thing, a lot of MMOs do it). And they didn't fix the fact that some weapons (actually whole classes!) are better than others, so you always end up with a meta or flavor of the week.
But in GRWL I'm not too worried for the reasons mentioned above. Most weapons are just different, not necessarily better or worse than the other. E.g. a HTI is very powerful but it's slow and has small clip. A G28 can fire fast, but with less damage, etc. etc. I've found that you can just pick a weapon that suits your style or the situation, which is nice.
