Checked the forum, and every post ends with open your ports or check your NAT and then stops.
So here is the deal,
I have forwarded all ports.
Allowed every GRW and Uplay executable through the firewall (Even disabled the firewall for troubleshooting).
Set my QOS in the house to the highest for both my MAC and the game ports, and verified that im not encountering ISP issues due to peak usage.
Reset my hosts file.
Flushed my DNS.
Upgraded my routers firmware
Reset the Modem
My friends play with each other fine, only i get disconnected.
Doesn't matter if my friends are across the country or in my state.
Monitoring network traffic in my home shows no issues with QOS or Packet loss at all, wiring is new (just installed nice a short runs Cat5E)
Disconnect from friends in coop within 5 minutes of joining or hosting any session private or public.
No other game exhibits this behavior.
Interestingly enough, friends on TS note that my voice drops for less then a second (hiccup) when disconnect occurs, but hiccups do not occur outside of wildlands (with or without another game being played)
Would love some feedback or potential solutions i have overlooked.
Thanks,
Same issue here, tried everything under the sun, not sure what to do... Seems to be no support from UBISOFT regarding this...
Same here...We played the Beta 17 hours and haven´t got any connection problems. Now we cant play 5 minutes. Everytime someone lose connection and the other get the mesage "Host migration"
We tried everythin. Portforwardin, Host file, kill anything from the firewall.
Still the same problems.
What's even worse, is that this is not identified as a "known issue" in that list pinned in the forum... UBISoft is not even acknowledging this...Originally Posted by mrshinduke Go to original post
With over 550 hours, I never had a NAT issue until this morning. Played yesterday with NAT open, today NAT was moderate. I called my ISP and they suggested resetting the Router to factory defaults. Did that and started game, NAT now back to OPEN. Try resetting your router, as it just worked for me ten minutes ago.Originally Posted by JakeKeisei Go to original post
Hi all,
If anyone is still coming across these connection issues, then please try out the steps presented in this FAQ. Let me know if the problem keeps up after trying out the suggestions.
Thanks for the response.Originally Posted by Ubi-Iudex Go to original post
Regarding the options, I have tried all of the ones listed below, as per your link and some.
1. RESET NETWORK HARDWARE
Completed multiple times.
2. SOFTWARE CONFLICTS
Disabled all Firewalls/Antivirus and background applications
3. PORT FORWARDING
Forwarded all the ports as shown by the port forwarding guide for GRW.
4. HOSTS FILE
Created new one as per the instructions.
5. FLUSH DNS
Multiple times, without any change.
6. EXTERNAL RESTRICTIONS
Have a static IP with a home network - Note that I play various other games and this is a non-issue.
Also tried running a VPN with friends, still caused disconnects. When I hosted, the disconnects would result in the team of 4 being split into 2 servers. When the others host, it was primarily me getting disconnected.
The easiest way to determine where the problem is to do the following. Take you PC to a neighbor or Friends. Hook it up to their router, and start the game. If your NAT is now open or changed to moderate from Strict, then the Router is the issue. If it has stayed the same then it is a problem on your PC. Not sure why people aren't trying this to at least tell where the issue is.Originally Posted by Naz_The_Eternal Go to original post
I also had this problem last September with "The Crew CAU" not having an open NAT. I fixed then by added both uplay launcher64.exe and the game to the Windows Firewall inbound and outbound rules. Same thing with GRW. It doesn't install itself ( like it should) in the rules. So just make one for UDP and TCP in and outbound.
As for "Resetting your network hardware" did you do a "Factory reset inside of your routers front end, in your web browser? That is what need to be done to open the NAT if it's been changed. I installed a DivX update yesterday, and it changed my router settings. As I was playing just before that, and right after I did it. I started the game and my NAT was now Moderate, from Open. So a quick factory reset of the router and everything was OK again.
Here is a website with information about this issue.

If my NAT was showing anything other than OPEN, I would have specified as such.Originally Posted by USASgtNickFury Go to original post
Did this the same time I did Port Forwarding.Originally Posted by USASgtNickFury Go to original post
