I am curious as to why things exist the way they are. Personal contribution in round? Does this matter? Is there a set explanation for differing rewards based on this value? Most likely, not.
Round lasts two weeks. Why? We found out the final 2 rounds are what matters. Can anyone explain otherwise? Can someone point me in the direction, something that explains this ongoing battle - which otherwise seems pointless thus far.
It's merely a mechanic introduced by Ubisoft to get people to hold onto the game for longer.
I like the idea of persistent campaigns like this but it's terribly implemented AND WAY too long. Quite why it lasts multiple months is beyond me.
4 x 1 week rounds would have been quite long enough for a season.
I was also interested for around 1 round, but it takes way to long to be interesting. Plus, it really seems to me that with those huge dents in playerbase, most of those that are left are samurai and they will dominate this silly minigame from now on.
Which is fine, I don't care - you can give them all the awards for 5 years in advance if in exchange I get an option to skip those aweful animations every time I get into game or a turn ends.
Faction War is pointless. It needs to be changed drasticly or removed completely, and I would argue for removing.
Why do you think the Knights and vikings have left in larger numbers than the samurai?Originally Posted by EmeraldCthulhu Go to original post
I'm sure there's a way they can get it to work better without removing it, I'm just not sure what it is.
What I do know is each season needs to be way, way, way shorter.
I think knights might have left as well - the last 2 rounds seem to be really dominated by samurai, that's what I base it on.Originally Posted by tonycawley69 Go to original post
But as I say, I don't care - as for now it's just some anoying animations that interupt my game.
I don't think it's working that way. The Points get averaged depending on how many people are in that faction.Originally Posted by TakunDes Go to original post
Let's say:
There are
10 000 Vikings
1 000 Knights
100 Samurai
When you are Samurai and you place 1 point on the faction war it's actually worth 100 points, when you are a Knight your one point is worth 10 and if you are with the Vikings one point is worth 1 point.
Everything else would not make sense .. but it's ubisoft.. and a lot of their decisions do not make sense at all...
Cheers
Well, it is just a map with colours right now... Since the closed beta, here and there were a lot of great ideas about the faction war, that could do it way more interesting and fun. In the actual status, it doesnt involve the player, neither in the war neither in the faction.
I still hope the dev improve this feature, because being serious, it is the only thing that can enlarge the game life.
I believe that aswell. If they did something amazing with the faction war and fixed some major issues. This game can easily soar high. But the "IF" is still here.Originally Posted by Xakonero Go to original post
