Id love to see this feature in the game. Sucks to see a knife on my vest and not have a way to use it.... too bad this will never happen.

    Huh.

Never once did I even think about not having a knife for the hand to hand stealth kills.

    Actually,

That might be a good idea, to give actual somewhat value added content as microtransactions, or you might have just gave an evil genius idea to game companies that they can withhold actual animations and sell them to us later if we want them. I think it is the latter.

I'm glad to see i'm not alone here. I really am dumbfounded this was overlooked when it's been a staple of every action game (military based or otherwise) in the last two centuries. It really is my single biggest complaint with this game. Beyond that, anything else would be a bonus for me personally. If we could get a hide the body option, it'd be nice. Considering this is 'Ghost Recon', I personally try to approach every encounter with complete stealth intended. I'd also like to see a boost in XP for stealth kills. The incentive to actually operate like a squadron of elite stealth soldiers would be a nice boon to playing with others who fail to shift gears from their last bout of COD -_-

I agree that it is disappointing that the ability to utilize knives for stealth take downs is not in the game. This should be addressed. However.... Did someone seriously suggest the developers get real life combat info from SEAL TEAM movies?! I realize that this game isn't intended to be hardcore realistic, but if you're looking for a baseline of realistic information to work from, the movies are you least reliable or accurate source.

It has not been a "staple" in Ghost Recon games for the past 17 years, Certainly the rest of the shooter universe has always included this arcade-ish knife concept.

Keep knife kills out. Makes the game cheap.

Splinter Cell has knife kills for it's stealth kill takedowns. It doesn't make that game cheap.

Fact! On the harder difficulties, you would be killed before the body of the bad guy you just knifed hit the ground. I'm not for a single cut to the arm being a death sentence, but a knife would definitely make the takedowns more believable. Maybe some of the blades can have an extended reach, or lunge animation, making it easier to close the distance for the takedown. Still wouldn't stop you from being engaged by other enemies.

Well, considering that the knife has been around and putting people in the ground since as long as the concept of warfare has existed, I would say this one is on you.

Issued knives are usually utility. Most of us go with multitools.
