I think you should not, SHOULD NOT be able to join games late in elimination and brawl (round based) game types. This makes getting orders complete very difficult because you spend so much more time having to play through multiple games because people leave the game you are in becasue they completele the order or are just leaving because they are. This sucks when the order is really easy like the daily for 3/22/17: get 8 takedown in player vs. ai elimination matches. This is an incredibly easy order and can be done in 1 game if you start brand new. The problem lies when you join on round 3 or 4 and you win on that round. Now you have at max 4, probably less if you join mid-round and then when the game is over 1 or 2 people immmediately leave and then you have to find a new match that is also mid-game and mid-round and it takes like 3 or 4 games to complete the order instead of 1. This especially is useless in player vs. ai matches becasue if the players have an ai they can just play 1 more round, why do they NEED a 3rd or 4th person to join the game in the first place? It will never be useful or helpful, only hurtful to the players who join thinking they can be in and out real quick with an order. Even if you stay in the same lobby it still sucks waiting for everyone to deploy war assets and then get ready and then character select and then play through 3 whole rounds when you only need llke 2 at that point. I understand the logic of joining late in dominion and even skirmish, but just get rid of it in round based game types, especially vs. ai.

What about when it's not vs. ai? Is your suggestion to just not play the multiplayer part of the game? Round based game types just shouldn't be joinable round 3/4/5 if at all, it's that simple.

Just looked at settings for the game types (mainly because I had no idea you could even turn off matchmaking, I thought that was just off by default for player vs. ai duels because, obviously) and they have it off on brawl so they understand that in 2v2 play people shouldn't join late, but they think it's fine for 4v4 play. Doesn't make any sense.
