    The Division : needed Changes

Hi everyone, with all those insulting and dowgrading comments all over the web about this game and Massive, how about we made post full of constructive criticism and ideas.

Since I'm new to the game, I'm gonna start with the good points and update my post every time i got a new idea, but since I'm long World Of Warcraft player, i thing that a big chunk of my ideas will be from there.

    The Graphics
: Extremely well done, optimized even on my old machine and still beautiful on low quality.

    The gameplay
: AAA quality, they did a great job on this one, no class restriction and there is much choices on the builds, yes there is maybe some imbalance and some Overpowered builds, but it's like that in every game.

    Let's keep the thread civilized.

But the gameplay wasn't AAA quality. For the most part it was extremely buggy, enemies are extremely tanky with pinpoint accuracy and much faster TTK than players, and many more mechanics issues. There is NO build diversity because the only builds that truly work well are DPS builds because the way stats work and lack of a real skill tree basically funnel everyone into one play style for the best performance.

I really enjoyed this game but it is absolutely riddled with flaws. As someone who has barely played the game posting this was probably a bad choice. Not because positivity is bad but because players have been dealing with a broken game for over a year now and Massive hasn't really done much to fix it. They've tried to basically remake the entire game numerous times now but they just end up breaking the game more.

I love the game and cba going into specifics as theres a hell of a lot I like about it.
The reason it gets such negativity is because most people ain't good at it and find it too complex. Gamers/kids nowadays what cod clones and this really doesn't fit the bill.

Just take all the bugs away for a second and tell me if TD gameplay is not a nicely done with enough depth to keep your playing for months just to adapt to all those builds ?

Like i said, every game got it's bag of bugs and glitchs. Just take some examples from WOW history and you will see that worst things happened there.

    .
Again, it's a matter of balance, not game design (at some extent), exp : Dps is working too good and making the game stale ? nerf it or balance the other stats / trees / builds, things that can be fixed without having to rework the entire game

That's the only thing that can Massive be blamed for, Fixing bugs priority, minor bugs are allowed to survive for few weeks but game breaking bugs and glitchs like this nasty Invisibility should be HOTFIXED in few days and even in few hours and not wait for Maintenance Day to apply it.

Just look at WoW, a super annoying bug which is the TAB target switching exist since the last Expack release or the super long loading screen that persisted for almost 2 months before getting fixed and we are here talking about Blizzard, a very well established compagnie in online games with a very large team and big resources.

in the final when i say a good gameplay is that this is not just a simple shooter like COD or Battlefied and that's what appealed me, it got a REAL potential of becoming the new WOW and I'm sure if Ubisoft can focus on it correctly if they are working on TD2, they can give a nice polished game since they put already the base with the this one.

ps : I'm reading a ton of guides / info / anything that-come-in-hand on TD and i already know that I'm going to stick on it when I'll buy it in 8 days, damn you g2a for you 14 days transaction xD

This is not true. It gets a bad rap because it was built poorly. The gameplay is fun, and the game has years and years of potential, but it's been squandered by glitches, exploits and rampant cheating. The fact that there is no anti-cheat is pathetic for a AAA title, and even worse Ubi's stance on cheaters... protect them at all costs. Cheating ruined this game, and following that Massive did by being unable to balance one single thing. Each patch fixes on minor thing and created 6 huge problem. It's like they were taking a sledgehammer into surgery... no F$#&ing point, rhyme or reason to what they do.

That's a pc problem not a console one, yeah there's glitches but no glitches on console affected others until recently. There's a reason cod sells so well because it's dumbed down gameplay that a monkey could play, pretty much the complete opposite of TD if you want to do well.

But everyone is crying now TRYING to get it dumbed down to CoD levels.
No skill power. No heals. Just guns guns guns and running in circles shooting each other.

And the devs are listening. They are killing everything that makes the game unique.

I hope not and i doubt they will do it, they know that the complexity and the diversity of this game is what it keeps it unique and alive, with all it's flaws.

I agree with you. The game it's awesome. In 1.4 was the best version of the game. But pvpers do not like and asked for nerf seeker mine turret and some builds. And now they ask for nerf healing and some builds again is not the fault of massive is our fault. I wish massive bring back 1.4 but that's will not happen.
