Laser Pointer and Night Vision client based??

So playing with friends we wanted to see each other's laser pointers to help with targeting when invading enemy encampments. We quickly were disappointed when we realized that the laser pointers were client based and other players could not see the laser pointer while in night vision, even when the players were running the lasers that "can be seen with night vision."

I don't know if this was intentional or not, and I thought I would throw a post out there to share.

Agreed. This was the first thing I tried with my PEQ-15.

The problem is that it is not always the case. I have seen teammates lasers and they have seen mine, just not consistently. Just a sync issue of sorts I'm sure.

The one thing for sure though is the pistol NVG laser is barely visible. That definitely needs some fixing, please.

Yeah. I've looked through other threads, known issues, bug reports ect. and I did not see anyone else posting about this issue.

The pistol "NV" laser doesn't have a tooltip as being visible in night vision. And when testing the NV visible Lasers, we were not able, under any circumstances, to see each other lasers. We tried different angles and perspectives and were unable to see the lasers from other players.

Oh, no ****? I have yet to see it.

Also, what do you guys think of actually adding physical NVDs within the game? rendering PVS-14 NMVD, PCS15 M953, AN/PVS-21 LPNVG, or the L-3 GPNVG-18?

You're probably right, but it's still the same laser module, according to the accessory itself anyway. I'd like it to be consistent if possible and it makes sense since all of the other ones function as such. It actually comes in handy when playing with real people as they can see where you're aiming to assist in target acquisition.

I'll see about taking a screenshot that it does work later tonight when I play with some friends to show you. Hopefully that will clear up the part about it being inconsistent.

Yeah, I know its the same AIPITAL laser pointer or whatever it is called, but the tool tip is different on the pistol, for whatever reason. I just assumed they didn't add night vision capabilities on it, as even I can't see the laser in NV on my own pistol when it is equipped.

I really miss the physic NVG for this game, and a better animation for vehicle drop instead the popping out in middle of nowhere

Here is a screen cap of my friend and his NVG laser. Thing is though, he did not have it on for this weapon (sniper rifle) and instead had it on his SMG which was his secondary. Again, it's just random in how it works, but it looks like it can work once its worked out.
