You know it would have been awesome if the weapons & gear you earned from the spoils of war could be traded in for a steel value, or the material on breakage can be traded in for steel.
this is reasonable but it seems ubisoft are hell bent on this tight structure made for the game economy..![]()
i support this idea, i dont use steel for 4vs4 (i only play duels and 2vs2 so gear its only cosmetic)
this would be reallyy great if the cost is 100+ (starting cost) of steel per piece, the other solution is to balance the economy (since now it costs 700 dollars YEAH 700 DOLLARS to unlock all the things, or 2 AND A HALF YEARS)
we bought the game, its not free to play, learn your place ubisoft, use the head, we are not idiots.
Not really, because to rank the high end items up to get to the 108 gear score cap you need a **** ton of those materials. You will end up probably buying steel just to buy equipment packs to scrap for mats in order to level your gear once you attain the base pieces with the stats you want. So it would be super counterproductive.
They could just have matches and orders give out a bit more steel. Or maybe double steel and double xp weekends and events or something.
First: That's assuming that you even want to work for a full completion. This game isn't really set up to for a player to focus on more than one or two heroes at a time.Originally Posted by Crims0n_Sky Go to original post
And second: the figure you are using is out of context, in that this figure is derived from an educated guess based on a casual average of 3 hours each night over those two years.
That's also not taking into account performance during matches or extra rewards.
Point me out a game that takes less than a year for a full completion? (every trophy and extra)
You really believe that ******** they spewed out in yesterday's Warrior's Den?Originally Posted by alustar24 Go to original post
Of course they dont want players to focus 1 hero at a time, the whole game is designed NOT to have players stick to only one hero. It's why we have Daily Orders that require specific classes, it's why there are mythic bundles for 4 different heroes at a time, it's why there's a toxic "champion status".
The whole steel system is designed as a cash grab, and not a subtle one.
Remove Steel costs from item upgrades (should cost only dismantled stuff).
Taking 30 hours to level a hero to reputation 3 is INSANE. This is not an RPG. There's no sense of progression, except for the ****ty feats that unlock during your first prestige. I can handle an actuall RPG take me 30 or even 60 hours to max my character, not a fighting game where I see 0 progression during those 30 hours.
I agree with the Op .i hope they will do something with it .whatever it is something has to be done . I now have 72000k in salvage and its adding up.
But on the 700$ thing .This is a useless debate. Why would you level up all character .2 years is probably the time it will take regardless. So enough of that non sense debate.
I see absolutely no problem whatsoever in the amount of steel available through general play.
I have 1 character at 108 rep 5 and a few more characters at rep 1 or 2.
I've not had to buy any steel at all ,i feel no need whatsoever to use steel .
At rep 1 buy loot crates with steel until full blue. At rep 3 buy loot crates until full purple.
When you've got a piece of purple gear you like the look and stats of, level it up.
This has been my method and at no point have I needed extra steel that I haven't had.
It definitely helps though to complete the story on realistic and make sure you get all the collectibles, I got about 12 premium loot crates and a few thousand steel for doing that.
Honestly, I don't get why people are spending real money on steel, what are they using that steel for?
