i still think block & parry should cost you stamina aswell. And when you parry an atttack without stamina, then you should have the effect as suggested.... if else, why bother parrying if it gives you no upper hand?
Also, we should be able to counter a GB after a parry....in fact, GB should ALWAYS be counterable.
And regarding Dodge frames, this sure as hell needs to be reworked. Yesterday i cornered a PK bot in that trap-gate in sanctuary bridge, then when i attacked her, she just dodged to her left and stabbed me.......fact is, there was a fkin wall to her left and she barely deslocated from her original position while my attack passed through her body with no effect. Dodging should have a collision code in their programming, just saying....
Is it just me or the parry system got really weird since 1.03? i play conqueror, and i use a lot of his counter-heavies, but when im swinging the flail and try to time his counter, it works 1 out of 10 times, cause the window for it its minuscle, similar to the parry system. Maybe Its something to do with the controller input, if it detects ANY imput that isnt made on the right time, it will make your block / parry uneffective.
This game will not be fixed for many months, possibly ever.
Look at the patches they've released, they broke the game further, they didn't fix anything. Both my connectivity and FPS were much better in the beta, that says a lot.
It took them a year to fix R6S and to be honest, this is in a much worse situation.

I personally don't think there is a problem with rewarding a player for a successful parry. If they want to make if a little harder to do, fine won't bother me at all. I think the main problem is most players are not taking full advantage of feints. If you allow your opponent to just turtle and parry your attacks for an entire fight that's on you, not the game. That is just my opinion tho but I will not deny the ability of some classes to turtle is to strong and some adjustments need to be made from a defensive stand point especially when it comes to certain match ups.Originally Posted by Mr_Gallows Go to original post

Parry should give every character an omnidirectional unblockable attack, but not stagger the opponent so he can't defend at all. The GB from parry must go, it's a huge character imbalance issue and it is too powerful on many maps.
Then make feint smoother so it isn't just parry baiting. Feinting into another heavy attack should make the next heavy attack slightly quicker depending on when you press the feint button. So feint is fixed so you get control, within a reasonable window, when the feint happens. If you feint early the next next heavy is a bit quicker and if you feint late the next heavy is not as quick. This should be a smooth transition of course. This creates a variety in timing for both blocking and parrying.
Make feint a viable way to land a heavy and to create more dynamic mixups with regular attacks.
Focus on the three-way attacks/defence system and not parry, GB and the move looping.
