I've long been a proponent of both gender options for all 12 of the current classes in For Honor (yes, even the Valkyrie) but I don't often see this topic raised. Or rather, this topic tends to get drowned out under all the topics about connectivity, matchmaking and balance. And while a lot of the people here probably don't care either way, this subject is pretty important to me, personally.

So, using a combination of my own garbage photoshop skills, stubbornness and the ancient, eldritch knowledge of the print-screen key, I have done some very rough mockups of the 6 currently gender-locked classes as their opposite genders. I'll post them by faction with a bit of info beneath each one.

Forgive my lazy/bad photoshopping talent, this was done fairly quickly:

KNIGHTS:

Peacekeeper:
The first one that I made, and therefor the one I put the most effort into. I flattened the torso out, increased the width of the shoulders and altered a few proportions of the legs, arms and head. I also increased the overall scaling by a tiny bit, as men tend to average out as taller than women - usually. I then did a small tweak on the position of the arm and leg in the foreground to make the pose more "masculine". Overall, quite happy with this one.

Lawbringer:
Probably the easiest of the bunch, seeing as the LB is clad head-to-toe in plate armour. Did one or two small shifts in perspective to decrease the size of the lower legs, arms and head a bit, brought the shoulders and waist in a smidge to give the armour a more tailored look, and decreased the height by a fraction. Hard to tell any difference, really. But again - plate armour. Steel doesn't tend to deform according to body shape, so the breastplate is going to keep looking like a breastplate.

VIKINGS:

Warlord:
This one gave me the most trouble, as there's quite a lot of the face visible as well as a lot of detail on the areas I was changing the most, hence the big blurry patches all around the neck and face. I ended up splicing the face of the female Berserker model in and doing a lot of blending to get rid of that pesky beard. Beyond that, though, the proportioning was fairly straightforward. Added some additional shadows to the torso, too.

Valkyrie:
A surprisingly simple one: I decided that a male "Valkyrie" would still wear their hair in a long braid and keep themselves clean-shaven (I tried it with a beard, it didn't look good) to keep the "feminine" aspect of their religion front and center, but I removed the leather brassier section from the tunic and brought the torso into a more flattened shape. Increased the size of the hands a bit and widened the shoulders/calves, too.

SAMURAI:

Shugoki:
Another pretty straightforward one: Simply shifted the size down a tiny bit and fudged a few of the proportions to make a more feminine body shape while keeping the Shugoki's signature "sumo" look. The most complex part of this edit was getting rid of that little beard, but that was a pretty easy fix, seeing as I didn't need to change the whole face around.

Nuboshi:
Nothing special about this one, either. It was all done with proportion changing and a bit of blending to flatten the torso and thighs, as well as bring the coat in slightly. Beyond that, you know the drill: Wider shoulders and calves, bigger hands, slightly larger overall. Again, not easy to tell the difference, but when you're dressed in long robes and a mask, that's only to be expected.

Hope you all enjoyed, and I hope you developers were taking notes! When I first saw this game's launch trailers, I was super hyped to see both genders playable in the ranks of the medieval warriors, and while you did give us that with half of the classes, the other half being gender locked feels lazy, unnecessary and restrictive. Hope to see at least some of these classes given the good ol' equal rights treatment in the future.

Thanks.
