One of the most important thing vs Shugoki is you always using combo not single attack. The super armor of Shugoki will be cancel for the first attack and the second attack will interupt everymove of him. I was grabbed so many times before I realize dodging is not a good option vs shugoki since his grab can track pretty well. However spam combo 2 or 3 attacks is a better option since most of Shugoki player tend to continue their attack after getting hit. Using combo: light light or heavy light is a very good tactis when vs Shugoki. I has stopped many demon grabs with my combos.

The animation time means you have plenty of time to dodge the next one, and remove all that health (and then some) they gained.

I main the Shug, and the only time DE is ever guaranteed is after a wallthrow, and it certainly can't be chained. Against even a mildly competent player, it's near suicidal to try.

Although I believe the health regen and the damage you get from the Demon embrace is enough to turn a fight around.

The Demon's embrace is a great move but something needs to be done.

1. The tracking is ridiculous. I have had multiple times that I have side dodge it and the Shugoki turns 90 degrees and picks me up anyways. I am not sure why this happens. I have an excellent internet connection and my computer is extremely good as well (I play at 144 FPS without problems).

2. The range is pretty amazing which is frustrating in 2v1 and 3v1 battles where you are on the short end of the stick. A single demon's embrace = death because all of the other players are hitting you.

3. I really dislike that others can just hit you over and over again while you are being embraced. The friendly hits should either interrupt (and stun) the Shugoki or do significant damage to the Shugoki as well. Same goes for the lawbringer (that pancake flip spam is just annoying as hell).

In a 1v1 battle, it does take a real noob shugoki to use it randomly. It is usually very easy to dodge because you can anticipate it fairly well (although there is a tracking issue I mentioned earlier which is frustrating).

On the other hand in X v 1 battles, so many shugokis will just spam it. Even a certain Presitgue 40 (account) streamer I was watching yesterday was almost exclusively using it over and over again when outnumbers his opponents.

I can honestly say, its been maybe 1 or 2 times in my countless hours of playing that a DE has tracked me on a side dodge....

It is the easiest move to dodge in this game. As soon as he stomps his foot you know its coming. Dont attack, dont side attack, don't do anything besides dodge (or roll if you feel like its tracking you) and you now need to hit him twice to kill him.
