Fighters are ALL ABOUT counterpicks... have you never played Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat COMPETITIVELY? Rufus roflstomps Cody. Sonya has no chance against Cyrax. etc.

competitive fighting games AND their tier lists are defined by good/bad matchups. your example has failed you miserably, and you've done nothing but prove you have no idea how matchups work.

I'm not sure if that's intentional on the part of the developers though or just necessary fallout from steering clear of homogenisation.

I think the biggest problem with asking for nerf at this point is the unreliability with the game itself. With all the bugs and glitches, it's hard to tell what is a balance problem, mechanic problem, or a connection problem. If you could LAN all the characters together for hours, then you could get some accurate balance ideas for them. But right now I feel like most peoples balancing ideas are amplified by other bugs or issues not related to the characters at all.

It's called long arm, and while, from your perspective it is a bit too powerful, while I main LB and it is really one of the weakest moves in his arsenal. If you land it, you get a free light light attack, however, if you miss it, they get a free GB on you. In a 1v1, it is ungodly slow, however with that said, it is a potent tool in team fights.

Or you could take Blazblue, which isn't really about counterpicks, it's about mastery of character. There are good and bad characters, and almost nobody uses the bad characters, while the god characters have good all around match ups.
