I am enjoying the Ai, the fact they do have a long cool down and will investigate a bit better than some other games. I like the fact vehicles roll up and they get out and fight, one time two vehicles rolled up and i left the area but could still see them on my mini-map, after a time they went back to the same vehicles all hopped in and drove away. That was immersive. Bad Ai can really break immersion. Why have a game with amazing graphics and realistic setting and then have the ai remind you its all fake. For the most part as i said the Ai in this game is good, but there is a couple of things that IS bad, such as seeing enemy Ai spawn before your eyes and also having Ai spawn right behind you on the outskirts of an area you are defending as part of a story mission or side mission as if they have cloaking tech. I doubt this will get changed, maybe with mods if that is possible?

The Ai should spawn out of view of the player. We should be rewarded for scouting an area before attacking, not having enemies spawn where moments before it was clear. But if Ubisoft want to make this a better game and with DLC coming up and probably a sequel down the line, if they can get this problem ironed out now, it will make the game and future content even better. Its these moments that unglue the immersion. Is it impossible in 2017 to have an ai, that runs into the aeroplane's leg (don't know what else to call it) and instead of running on the spot indefinitely turn around and go the opposite direction or sidestep away from it? But apart from these immersion breakers, the ai is pretty good, better than some other games, if only they can polish the Ai a little more.

I find some of my friends who snipe do not take particular care to engage targets when they are separated or isolated from others. Most frequent cause of ALERT is that an enemy spots a target's body, or sees the shot and the target fall via line of sight.

Does the Ai react to bullets ricocheting or landing close to them? I know some games can detect if bullets are close to an Ai like in Arma for instance.

Not sure if this will help or if it's something you already look into when selecting weapons for stealth uses.

The "Noise Reduction" stat on a weapon needs to be pretty high (somewhere around the 75% mark) to make a huge difference for shooting when enemies are nearby. If you haven't experimented with which guns allow for the most effective stealth approaches, it may be worth testing for your preference/situation.

If i have a guilysuite on me and lay me still in the tall grass. Do they still find me???
Yes, they will still be able to find you.

I noticed this as well. It also happens if I use suppressed shots and kill bad guys with the first round - if the bodies are found they seem to know EXACLTY where to look. I see them find the body through the scope and they run right at me.

Never have I seen them run away from me in a "mistaken" search.

Side note: they run at superhuman speed, even up steep slopes.

Yeah, sometimes I wonder what people search for when they Necro this old posts but it does goes to show that the game needed some small tweaks and they never came thru. It makes one wonder if the Studio, in reality, wants to make a proper GR game anymore.
