🛈 Announcement
Greetings! The For Honor forums are now archived and accessible in read-only mode, please go to the new platform to discuss the game

We NEED a better practice mode.

Just copy paste code from any of the Tekken or Street Fighter series. What we have now is pretty trash. We can't even practice dodging/parrying specific attacks if we don't have a friend.

    Fix this ubi.

Go to "How to play" and click duel practice, set the bottom level to 3 and go for it. Instant respawn and the bots are hard as hell.

Though you can't choose the bot, and they're all character specific based on who you choose and the bot level.

The problem with a practice mode is that good players don't play as the devs intended. Characters all have 3+ chains for example, none of which you will use. The closest you'll get is something like the valk light, light, sweep, and even that's not actually a chain.

Pretty sure OP means a practice mode where the players can set the bot to perform specific actions or sequences (i.e. Shugoki only using charged heavy or Warden only shoulder bashing into guard break)

The best you can currently do is go into custom game and duel a lvl 3 bot of your choice and set the damage to none or low and set the game to best of 99. It's not great but at least it lets you practice against a specific hero.

    Agreed

I completely agree, this game has a huge learning curve to it. it's very difficult to practice, why can we choose the class we want to practice against? why can't i set a mode for practicing my parry only or guard break only??? it would be great help to have these features added in. Basically what it comes down to is being able to practice more specific aspects of the game individually as a player to hone in my skills on a char.

yeah the practice mode is terrible. the fact you can't even pick the character you want to fight is just silly.

I really want a parry bot without having to go through the tutorial. The bot would attack from random directions, starting off slow, then speeding up over time.

Even better, a practice yard with bots - one parries, another deflects (so you can practice switching directions), another guard breaks, and another stands still that will let you do what you want.

Yea, that's the problem. The characters that are giving players the most trouble in the game (the top 4) aren't even available to practice against. I want to practice dodging a headbutt and learn how to punish other charge/dash attacks. I want to get good at blocking lights from a PK. I want to practice guardbreaking and playing against 2-4 opponents attacking me. This stuff is all available because they have sections of it in the first tutorial, just let me set the options of the A.I.

I want AI to use zone atacks, and prefer faster atacks, eg: top light warden, orochi etc. so i can practise my parry to be on point.
