Why can't we feint with Riptide Strike like Storm Rush and a Heavy attack? I'm curious because it's also a heavy attack and a high risk low reward move unlike Storm Rush. Some will say "you just have to time it right" but the same thing goes with Storm Rush about the "timing". The difference is with Riptide you either HAVE to hit it, get destroyed or get lucky and they don't punish you for it, while with Storm Rush you can either stay in the stance or feint it so you won't get destroyed.
Riptide doesn't count as a "hidden stance" since it's not like Nobushi's "hidden stance" where it can cancel any and all attack. Yeah, it's a "free dodge" (every dodge is free dodge anyways) but its risk is way too high for its little to no reward into a huge punish unlike Storm rush which is a pretty big free dodge with no risk and reward move that can also be FEINTED. What I don't get is why you can't feint the Riptide since it's a heavy attack.
I LITERALLY stated my "problem" twice. Once on my topic, second on my reply to you. Riptide is a HIGH RISK and LITTLE TO NO REWARD. The only time you will hit Riptide is if you get lucky and time it right or they are out of stamina and does a heavy. Or if they're a Kensei/Shugoki. And if you parry too early it's already too late to even try to Riptide, you'd already be punished for doing it too early. Also, i'm not complaining about anything, i'm just curious why you can't cancel a HEAVY like every other HEAVY attack.
