re: THE FUTURE OF THE WILDLANDS (peanut gallery ideas)
OK, here are a couple of ideas that have been bouncing around my brain-housing group as I completely destroy your map...
1) AIR STRIKES - Would be pretty darn cool at some point down the road to actually have to put a laser on target when calling in air support. Not the spinning wheel deal. Like a legit laser guided bomb that you need to guide in to your target from the ground.
2) BLACK SITE - A super secret squirrel black-ops base located in the beautiful Bolivian mountains would be awesome.
a) Maybe put a firing range there so people could BZO their weapon without attracting attention (gotta be 1,000 yard range)
b) Make it a open community area where there are no hostiles etc. so that we can conduct Task Force community events in-game instead of having to do all our squad/clan stuff outside of the game.
c) Give us an armory. Literally force us to select the specific weapons we have available to us and we have to go to this armory to change out load-out. We would travel to the armory, be able to leave the community zone with 2 rifles and 1 pistol and that's what we use until we hit the armory again. It is tiresomely delinquent to have access to our entire friggin' inventory when knee deep in the bush. Like some freakin' magician is running around behind us, "Oh, you ran out of ammunition for your Assault Rifle because you used bad tactics and no battlefield discipline? Have no fear, I have an SMG you can use that is completely loaded!" Totally dumb dudes.
d) Have an evasive driving course/track so we can watch our gents race each other or do demolition derbies etc.
e) Of course you need to have a nice big open field with X's on it so we can practice parachuting on target.
f) CQB compound
You get the gist of where I am going with this I hope
3) STAMINA - Why not make it matter? If I want to pack a drone and an LMG let me face a stamina penalty (I now cannot run as fast as I could before and tire out easily). This may seem like not such a huge thing, however most RL military weigh their gear before stepping off. It is not uncommon to see a packaging scale in a FOB that gives weight down to the ounce so we can make sure we aren't overloading our rucks/kit etc. This becomes extremely important if (like your scenario in Wildlands) you are spotted. Being able to center fire, peel & maneuver as you attempt to elude hostiles is much harder with a 150 lb ruck on your back as opposed to a 75 lb pack etc.
Just thoughts that would make this game even funner for us old horses.
