Ubisoft, yes, the company, not any one particular person, group of employee's, or department. To say that I eagerly (like many others I'm sure) anticipated the relese of this title since first hearing of it several months ago last year, is an understatment of enormous proportions. I followed the game religiously, the closer the game came to being released, the greater my excitment became. I found myself to be one of the lucky one's who was able to get in on the beta, and I was hooked. A game pitting three reigons against one another, vying for dominance and control of a map, classes that paid homage to medival and mythical fighters, moves that required thinking, not just button mashing, I was completely and utterly sold on such a concept.

I had read the articles about the concerns over the P2P issues that reared it's ugly head early on; but thought, surely this is going to be fixed by release, a game of this magnitude, gaining this much traction by word of mouth in the gaming community will set a new precidence for PvP genre. If only that were so.

The list of aliment's since launch has been as staggering as it is saddening. I've been a hardcore online gamer since the days of MUDS (Darkness Falls anyone?), I've seen technology take some astonishing leaps, so for the life of me I'm really trying to wrap my head around Ubisoft's mentality with thinking that P2P would be a stable network. There are just TOO many variables to take into account that you can not plan for, or code around.

There's other issues I have, but honestly they pale in comparison to either being kicked out of.a match, kicked prior to even joining, or dealing with freezing due to someone dropping (and hoping you don't get kicked either). I don't want to give up on you guys, but it's honestly at that point, even moreso with the recent patch that was just released stating the connection issues were addressed. I'm sorry, but I beg to differ. I can play one game at most (usually), the following game I try to join I will get an error code.

This company's reputation has fallen sharply with me as of late, and makes me reevaluate any future Ubisoft title that may be coming out. Please, fix this. No, a few angry consumers will likely not affect your overall standing in the community, however if this keeps up, this title will certianly go the way of MAG by Zipper Interactive.../shudder...
