So, if I'm upset at fighting my way into a huge, beautiful temple at the top of a mountain and all it contains is a +1 Skill pickup with nothing else going on or to do, then it raises questions with laziness in game design.
If my team mate jumps on a motorcycle and vanishes and the bike is driving down the road by itself, is that the Ghost part of the Recon? That was actually entertaining after 3-4 hours of the same types of missions over and over.
If we want to drop a vehicle besides that damn helicopter with no weapons on it, do we just jump for joy that that damn gunnery vehicle we used to stop convoys is now useless?
Are we supposed to live with a number where our clan tag is supposed to be?
Did anyone even beta test this besides us? Dayam...even the Division wasn't this buggy or feature absent on release.
Because they always leave features and stuff out of the beta. Because game companies like to bait and switch and sucker you to pre-order their games that don't deliver like they advertise at E3. Lots of people bought this game that still thinks it's unfinished or broken and all I see are a bunch of fanbois on the board and not any information on where this game is headed.Originally Posted by Moses341 Go to original post
I don't hate the game, but even I could have added more fun to it as project manager.
Also, if the game was beta tested by a crew, I know they had to play it so much that they were bored out of their minds. How could they not have caught missing elements?
I group with 3 others and after raiding camps for gun parts and skill points and then completing missions and knocking out buchons, it becomes very noticeable that something is missing. Did features get cut out and then will be spoon fed to us in DLC? I'm so sick of this business model.
I'm having tons of fun with it so far and just made level 13 tonight. The missions do seem the same from town to town, but you're going to have that with a game of this type. I'm getting enough out of the story and gameplay that I'm happy with it. It's a huge improvement over The Division as at least its something new!!! I've only had one occasion where my friendly AI got stuck to where they couldn't move to where I was. Chopper and plane controls are kind of clunky, but otherwise, it's a great game.
You've got to be kidding. I played The Division at launch and IT IS the most bugged game of all time!!!! I've had NO issue with this game whatsoever. I might not have as many hours as a lot of you, but you can't make that kind of statement and expect it to be left alone. Hell, the first couple of bugs left half the player base locked out entirely until it could be addressed in a patch, weeks later. Then when the patch came out, a crap ton of people had the dreaded screen freeze when updating the patch. This went on and on, but yet you call this game bug'd. Not sure what you're playing then.Originally Posted by Xyyth Go to original post
What features are you missing in the Wildlands???
Where on earth did the OP say it needs to be perfect? And this game is far from "A couple fixes" Yes there are a lot of good things to say about it. But there is just as many negative. And let's be honest. We were flat out lied to about what this game was going to be. They called it a tactical shooter. The only tactical part is we can silence our gun. Camo has zero effect on the enemies ability to spot you. Bushes/High grass is just there for looks. Our AI teammates are worthless. They showed a video where one AI was sniping. One was flying a chopper and one went with you to sneak into a base with a narco van. Why isn't my AI this smart? Mine just follow me around and does nothing. We get very basic commands. And what about the "100s of missions" we were promised? Yes there is a fair ammount of story missions. But they equal less then 100. I guess the counted the same 7 side missions about 12 times each. I won't even talk about how poorly designed the base and AI...Originally Posted by Moses341 Go to original post
And maybe if more people would focus on the bad aspects, then these companies would stop releasing half finished products. I mean I can't even spawn a chopper in 50% of the time without it spawning somewhere like in a cliff, a house or my head (yes this has happened multiple times) I can't turn markers off, with out turning everything off. Including my teammates and sync shot. Resources everybody has to tag. But someone grabs intel it litters my map with the locations of stuff I don't want there. No way to toggle it off either. How do they not see these issues prior to releasing the game? These are major issues for some people.Stuff thats common sense and should have been fixed before going gold.
Let me tell you this......
I "had" exactly the same feeling as you do!! So much so, last night I spent most of the night back on Battlefield... But later on, I went back on Wildlands... And I decided to try Co-op, it was a bit different, but still it was.... what do you call it? Monotonous? 😂
Anyway, a guy joined our team and asked whether any of us played without HUD & Markers and on Extreme difficulty... (I only did the latter, and still had HUD and Markers turned on)... so I decided to try it out and turned them off...
Let me just say, you will lose the Monotonous attitude straight away... You will feel lost, you will feel isolated and you will definitely feel exposed!! Eventually you get your baring, and being lost isn't a problem anymore... But being Isolated and Exposed!!! They never go away 😉
Try finding your team mates with no HUD and the markers turned off also without using the map!! (Spoiler: Thermal Vision)... Get a group of like minded people together to try this out with and you'll feel like you're playing a completely different game!!!
I actually cannot wait to get on tomorrow and play it again... It's a completely different game for me and actually does remind me of the old Ghost Recon games...
I hope you find some interest in the game once again 👍 Good luck
Are you...s..erious? You just mentioned 6 out of 7 PVP games. While most of the games have a single-player experience it's the PVP-aspect that 98% of the people play the game for.Originally Posted by NojTuag Go to original post
Ive seriously had almost no graphical glitches what so ever, the only issue is in a few underground tunnels that a certain graphical issue manifests itself. Regarding the monotony Id like to see an open world game that has no repetition in it, I find this game in particular har good ways to really break repetition by changing up the way you clear camps or whatever. Many game become what you make of them.Originally Posted by Xyyth Go to original post
True. All open world games suffer from being repetitious at some point as you progress in a game. I haven't seen one yet where this was not the deal. When I finish the game at Elite difficulty I'm going to try it in Ghost mode with No HUD and No markers. I'm hearing its a totally different feeling and the "repetition" deal will no longer apply once you do this. We'll find out. I bought the season pass to get more story content. I've got a long ways to go being only level 14 now, but love the game so far.Originally Posted by BigOhrstrom Go to original post
