EMP drone .... i lay down c4 (distance to try and hit the convoy security) and then when the convoy is where i want it to stop I hit it with EMP. Toss flash bangs at the truck and take out gunners... if you do it right there is little to no damage on the convoy and you can take off with the support vehicles.

Yea... that's happened to me too. On several occasions. That's why I try and give myself a lot of time. I'll find out where they are and begin planning when there around 1k down the road. That way I have time to set it up and stop traffic to avoid an NPC from rolling over the mine. This of course is when I have patience. Other times I'll just hop in a car and take out the support vehicles and ram the target truck off the road.
