I hate them. Not because they are hard, but because its a very slow, boring thing to do over and over again. Its just takes forever to find the convoy in the road with a car or heli, THEN you can start to engage with the convoy. Its tooo slooooooooow.

Have you tried placing mines, or upgrading your VHC destruction? Sometimes I'll plant a mine or two on the road, take out the lead car, then using a grenade launcher and take out the rear car. After that, if the target vehicle hasn't stopped, then Ill hop in a car and either pit-mauner the truck or ram it off the road. This might make it more exciting for you.

Other than that, I don't think there's a way to avoid them. Unless you don't want the points.

I normally fly a head of the convoy and land at a good ambush site then when they get close enough I hit them with the EMP, the whole ambush is over in less than 5 min. But as Scoe said If you don't like them don't do them simple, but that's a lot of points your missing out on. I love the convoy raiding with the different approaches you can take, depending on wither you want to be aggressive or stealthy it's up to you.

You can be done in seconds if you ram the truck with a helicopter as it usually kills the driver. Then just hop out and tag it while your ai engages the others.

Probably not a good strategy in the higher difficulties but it works at whatever the default skill level is.

Taking down a convoy is easy either plant some c4 on the road or get an enemy truck with a mini gun placement and ram the truck off the road the driver will get out just mop up the cartel escort and the truck is yours

Yes, the ability to freely tailor your plan make the convoy ambushes a lot of fun.

I usually just take out the driver at a distance with an AR (so I don't damage the vehicle and lose 1/2 the points, then HT1 the escort vehicles and i'm done. quick and easy as long as i setup in a good location. Also with a friend in a vehicle with a mini gun it makes these missions easy. Setup in the road ahead of truck with light damage sniper rifle. Stand ont he hood of the truck with your buddy in the gunner seat, buddy blasts lead escort while I snipe truck driver, if anything goes wrong hop in the truck and chase em down. But like others have said you don't have to do them you just are missing out on the points to upgrade your skills.

Didn't they say you can take the missions as you see fit? or they are a requirement for proceeding to the next mission or province? if they are not, leave them alone, do what you want and then, if you feel up to it, comeback and do them... that's what I used to do in FC4 and this is pretty much the same thing but you get to carry your blob squad with you and that's always a plus for a laugh and bloopers
