Enemies have more health when Alerted?

    Has anyone noticed this?
I feel like when I am killing enemies undetected, unless they are armored they go down within 1 to 2 shots. Yet when they are alerted, they can take 3 to 4.
I know some guys wear body armor but even the dudes with no shirts on can take 3 to 4 hits when they're charging me. Yet I can hit one with the same weapon from 120m and he drops with one.

Does anyone know if this is a real thing?

There is a post mentioning this and many people have noticed this, as have I. I'm sure what it is doing it, but there definitely seems to be some of that Ubisoft magic at work.

Like jeanna said, someone else started a thread about this as well. So you're not the only one. I've double tapped cartel members from 50+ yards out and they drop, and then guys close to me take 3-4 shots. Not sure if there's a correlation.

Alerts increase health/defense. It has done so since beta. It makes stealth easier and helps the sound from gunshots not be so detectable if you are inside the enemy outpost and surrounded.
1 shot will get a suspected, while more will usually get you hunted. (When heard)

I can understand that an alerted enemy is more dangerous than a passive enemy but I find there health inconsistent some take 3 shot some 5 had a few absorb 10+ rounds this is with same weapon between 30-70 meters headshots seem to be 1 shot

tested it tonight and indeed. With a Mk14 I can 1 shot an enemy in the chest.
But when they are alerted it takes 2 shots in the chest! Same range same weapon.. WTF!
