It seems it's you who doesn't understand. If you are grouped with other people who speak a different language but not your own, it's you who is the outlayer, not them. Can't speak their language? Perhaps they can't speak yours.

It's OK, we all have our own mother tongue, but don't be a baby and cry others don't speak yours.

You're suggesting everyone in the world speak your language to make it easier for you.
How childish, selfish and ignorant do you think that sounds to everyone but you?

And that's why he's right though.

This has never been a hassle for me in games like BF or CSGO. Tons of nationalities together that all together understood that in order to communicate with eachother, the solution was to use a language all of us spoke to some degree.

And whether you like it or not, in this day and age that language is English.

(P.S. I'm not a native English speaker either)

Point is they may speak English, they may not be comfortable speaking it. Like others have stated, if you aren't comfortable with a group. Then maybe you should leave and try another group. Don't be offended just seek help from somewhere else. I hate it when I join a random group, that people don't use their mics.

It's not about English being the best.

It's that region-lock matchmaking doesn't exist. Unless it does (I thought I heard something about them trying to curb it on account of connection quality) and people are finding ways to bypass it.

Not a native English speaker either. I speak three language fluently and curse fluently in 3 more....and OP is 100% right.

As long as you have an international group then the group should make an effort to find the common language everybody speaks to some extent. English is the best way to go and safest bet since it is, ironically, the lingua franca, these days. And unless you all can decide on another language everybody speaks....it is the wisest choice.
