    Going prone...

actually provided some concealment from enemy AI today. So, I was crouched and slowly moving through the bush toward an enemy encampment in the middle of the day. I came upon a guard about 30 meters away and facing my direction. The little red circle above his head started to glow and I immediately hit the dirt. The glow then immediately disappeared and he turned away walking off to continue his patrol.

Now, if that would happen when being hunted at 200 to 300 meters away. We would be in business.

It does, but not if you're in the same location when you were spotted (and when I say spotted I mean the AI's omnipotent god-vision. ). It's possible to lose them while hunted (and going prone in a bush is the easiest way to do it), but only when:

    - You relocated far enough.
    - Enemy did not have LOS to any of your team members during relocate.

I think the biggest problem is the insta-spot when one of your team members is hunted, suddenly everyone knows where you are too, despite you being hidden. When the status goes to hunted, wait for the 'let's charge them' or 'sent vehicle/chopper/reinforcements' message, then relocate. Works for me 100% of the time.
