It is by no mean a consistent block, I myself haven't found how to block that attack everytime, but It can be done. Am I the only one? Could someelse tell us how to consistenly block the poke?
Most likely the pole comes from a specific direction and you just had your guard there. You could have a mate help you test it.

    You're an idiot....

comparing wardens OP charge to warlord heabutt is hilarious. The warlords stab after the headbutt is A: Super short range and B: a fly **** could hit harder.

    Oxygen thieves....

The headbutt stab, with FULL attack damage in gear modes, needs 3-4 to take ONE BAR or an assassins health down...if you cant learn to dodge then I dont know what to tell you...you're ****.

You just have to learn the range and stay just outside of it. Free hit on whiff.

If they have to nerf it, I'd say boost the stamina cost. That's all you need to keep them from spamming.

I say increase recovery frames enough, that it can be punished on a miss. Same solution for conq shield bash. The issue with those moves are that they are too safe. If i play say lawbringer, conqueror can block or counter any followup i can throw out after dodging it. With warlord, the headbutt is so fast that you have to dodge it almost pre-emptively after you see him dash. Basically you play 50/50 coinflip in case he goes for GB instead, in which case you are eating a heavy. It shares lot of in common with warden charge in that regard, but i personally find the warden "vortex" the least troublesome to deal with, even tho it got the most potential damage.
TL;DR: Those moves are too safe and hard to punish even when they miss.

Both will be done in fact. Devs stated in their stream that headbutt stamina cost will be increased to 15 from 12 and its recovery frames will be increased.

tfw the devs will now make head butt easier to dodge for the free GB
tfw Warden will still have an unpunishable 25/25/25/25 vortex

If it doesn't already, it should be made to be as fast as classes dash attacks. It should also have slower recovery so that successfully side dodging it (for classes without a side dodge attack) gives a window for an immediate light attack/GB that can only be blocked/parried/CGB'd. If it's made only as fast as an assassin's Fdash attack, it shouldn't be punishable with a dodge + attack (not "dodge attack") but be negative in frames so that it forces a defensive.

I'm like 80% certain that you can punish Warlord's headbutt with a GB after dodging. Even if you can't, if someone keeps spamming it you should leave a little extra space between him and you and watch him eventually try to hit you, after which you can guaranteed GB him. People who complain about Warlord head butt are usually the people who are unwilling to sit down and really work at dodging it. The ONLY nerf it should have got was a stam increase so you can't spam it as much.

Calm down and read my post. I said that unless your class has a dodge-attack, you shouldn't even be able to punish Warlord with a dodge + light attack (different from a "dodge attack"). But I want to retract that statement and say that a free light attack should be given. I guess a guaranteed GB would be fine as long as it is still able to be CGB'd, otherwise its the same thing as a free heavy (for most classes). And I do agree that it needs a stamina cost increase. Personally, I have no problem with the speed of the Headbutt because I can dodge the majority of them when I'm on full alert in a 1v1, so I'm not "complaining" because I'm simply too slow to manage. However, I mentioned that it should be in-line with the speed of other dash attacks IF it isn't already, though I also want to retract that statement now that I remembered how short the range on it is compared to other dash attacks. I think the range should have a direct correlation to the speed of the dash attack.
