Scope Draw Distance Lacking (Video Example)

First off, I'd like to say I'm enjoying the game so far. And it's nice to be excited about this series as I was not a fan of the Futuristic direction the game took(personal preference). But on to my issue with this game. I am going to show you an example of what I'm talking about then explain my thoughts about it while playing devils advocate.

    The evidence:

As you can see at 563m while scoped in (I've tired different rifles and scopes) the enemy does not draw even at Max settings. Once I deploy a drone and move closer the enemy finally draws and I'm able to see the enemy with my scope from the same stationary location.

    My Thoughts:

To me this is a big issue when trying to pick off snipers from heavily armed locations. And as someone who likes to play stealth most of the time, it's nice to be able to pick off targets that are visible.

    Devils Advocate:

I'm assuming if this was intentional it was to make it so you had to engage the locations making it harder to take objectives. This also maybe optimised regarding PC hardware tests.

    My argument:

I think in most cases there are enough targets hidden inside where you can't just pick them all off. Some targets are behind buildings which you cannot hit. If the above statement is true, then I suggest maybe adding a few more targets inside buildings forcing players to engage in CQC. Honestly I think there are enough where I am still forced to have to engage them in CQC. But few more targets would make it more difficult and in my opinion more fun. If this was optimised because of PC hardware tests, it would be nice to know.

I hate to compare this to other games, so I'll re-frame from doing so and I won't compare it to real life sniper scenarios;however, less than 600m seems a bit ridiculous. Similar rifles were used in confirmed kills well over 1,000m. I'd settle for 600m at least......

I've created a poll for the community to give their input.

This issue seems global. I have had this issue/bug on various settings, including ultra. I am of the feeling that 600m max is also not long range enough. Should be 1000+, given that such shots irl situations are quite commonplace. Like you mentioned, if Ubisoft did this to eliminate the ability to pick off 100% of enemies without CQC, then so be it. Still, 600 max is very ridiculous.

I primarily use the HTI and the SR25 for long range precision. Another possible bug I've noticed is the lack of realistic drop on the HTI specifically. Not necessarily a negative, just lacks realism, esp. since the SR25 has the same range, but major drop over 300+m. Not sure if this was intentional or not, and for what reason.

In any case, good points Nikon, and I hope they fix the draw distance issue. You're a great asset to the task force bro! See you soon!
