Ah but on the flip side that is the true test of skill. Even if you have been kicking *** all game you still need to be switched on for the entire match.

From my experience if I am winning the fight well, rarely will the have revenge meter up as the have been taking hits. It is when they have blocked most of my attacks which is my fault for allowing that to happen in the first place.

The problem is, that it isn't a combat mechanic, when one of the best sources of damage comes from parry, which also builds revenge. Second problem is that blocking is easy, so you're better off just turtling until you get revenge. Of course you can just stop attacking so the opponent doesn't build revenge. If both opponents have this knowledge, it's going to be a very boring fight.

But revenge in duels isn't a huge issue. I think it's lame, but it's in modes with gear that is the big issue and fortunately that's being fixed.

I remember fatal fury and street fighter, ya know, the one where your attacks are LIMITED by stamina and incredibly PUNISHED for running out of said stamina. They really need revenge, for sure in 1v1, where you can spam attacks then be incredibly vulnerable before attacking again. Lets not forget how in street fighter you had to have instant frame reaction time to "parry" an attack when it hits you is the same as the obvious wind up before a red indicator goes off in this game. IT'S TOTALLY THE SAME!!!!

Revenge should never occur in 1v1s other than brawls and duels(those are fine) and it should never be triggered back to back in 2v1+ situations. Maybe introduce a cooldown to it so that for maybe 5-10 seconds in between triggers you can't gather revenge points, otherwise you have situations where someone plays the perfect turtle game and gets back to back revenges, eventually killing the whole team with knockdowns and feats.

Some people live in an illusion that turtling is somehow smart and sofisticated playstyle. That if they block enough attacks that somehow warrants them a significant advantage against their opponent.
Well first of all. Blocking is piss easy and you get rewarded for it by your opponent losing a bit of stamina. That's it. That's all you deserve for blocking.
Secondly. People think that spamming attack endlessly should be prohibited somehow. Well it is, you got your stamina bar. It's specifically there for that purpose.
Thirdly. People think that it is a comeback mechanic of some sorts. It's not. The devs themselfs said that it's for 1v2s etc.

So I don't ****ing know where the problem is. Why is this still in the game?
While it is true that there are some classes that can open up a turtle, there are classes that have to be very creative about doing so(Kensei, Raider). So they try to feint/attack/gb etc... left and right working their *** off and then the ****ing game punishes them for it. WTF?? The game rewards defensive playstyle enough already. Revenge mechanism has no place in duels.
