Tactical play I am ALL for it, having to spend hours on end learning all the different key binds to be able to shoot someone is not my idea of fun nor tactical either...Originally Posted by Cons72 Go to original post
Saw a few videos, was not overly impressed by them and I missed the Open Beta but I will wait for the release and check out the gameplay videos and reviews to see if I can pick it up and give the Devs here time to fix the Trending issues... love the use of the new word "trending"Originally Posted by BigOhrstrom Go to original post

entirely false. Ghost Recon franchise started as a first person tactical shooter. That was back in the day when Red Storm was the primary developer of Tom Clancy titles until Ubisoft took over and ruined the franchise by turning it into more of an arcade shooter like COD in order to satisfy the newer generation of children that cant hack a more realistic tactical shooter. Wildlands was a step back to what Ghost Recon used to be but its still too a arcadish. I'm not the biggest fan of the 3rd person view but I can appreciate that it makes the stealth play easier and allows you to utilize cover better. I still would have rathered a complete first person view like the original games though.Originally Posted by guineapig71 Go to original post
I was just here looking to see if someone had said this already. I have fond memories of the orginal Ghost Recon and it's expansions. The loadouts, upgrading your team with points you earned by completing missions to become a more badass unit, the waypointing system. So much tactical goodness. I was pretty disappointed with what they did in the advanced warfighter era. This new game is marginally better (and still fun in it's own right, forgetting the franchise's origins), but sitll I the definition of "tactical shooter" has certainly been stretched.Originally Posted by tmc8912 Go to original post
Anyway, first person option would be awesome! Like yourself, I find you can't beat a 3rd person wall hack for stealth. I do find the "auto pop over cover" to be quite irritating sometimes though, I would rather have more control.
