Considering that Ghost Recon has been a 3ed person shooter since day one I don't think that will ever change. First person should be an option for people like you who want to play 3ed person.

Umm no it hasn't! GR 1 & 2 were both FPS. Split screen as well!

I'd love to have the option to play this game in first person perspective, but it won't happen. Having the option would be really, really, nice though. Driving vehicles could all still be third person, which would lessen the amount of work required to make that happen.

I don't see why third person perspective is so popular to be honest as I find it almost akin to cheating as you can see around and over things you shouldn't be able to. Plus I have no desire to look at my own character's back all the time.

I'm fine with 3rd person only, you can just run around always aiming down your sights if you want 1st person... (and yes, it's meant to be a joke lol)

I would really like a first person option, perfect for clearing buildings. Let the 3rd person stay, I see no reason to remove it.

Ghost Recon 1 and 2 were first person shooters, check out the footage on YT.

GRAW on the other hand, that's when the series jumped to 3rd.

I play this game specifically because it is third person.

Really? I guess I'm too old or just not evolving with gaming cause it absolutely ruined games for me... could only take witcher 3 for about 5 or 6 hours and got so pissed at the horrible view... same with the division.
There should at least be the option to do either view like battlefield/battlefront/etc...

Because there is not enough FPS to choose from. I like TPS, I love this game, no. Seriously not every game needs to be a COD reskin. Contrary to popular belief, there are other fun genres too.

WTF is it with people trying to "immerse themselves in the game"? Does real life suck that bad where you just wanna get lost in video game land? Seriously....i hate to break it to you, but you're not a Ghost. It's a video game for entertainment purposes. When it comes to immersion, wait about 60 years for the legit virtual reality. This is about as immersive as its gonna get on console/PC in 2017. As far as first person only goes.....good luck with making that happen almost 2 weeks after release.

I guess I'm a different gamer than you. I actually like my life quite a bit, but I am a huge nerd I guess.. however, the idea of shooting at cartel and corrupt officers in real life isn't really something I want to or will ever do...
I've been gaming since the atari days so, to me, the games today are VERY realistic. So yeah, I really enjoy immersive games like skyrim and fallout; not just going for points and skills.. I like fps games as well, but this game is so much better than your everyday battlefield or call of duty..
I'm sure VR will be amazing in the future too.

Are there any FPS games that are open world like this, where you can play co-op 4 player?
If there are, please tell me seriously...
Also, I feel that seeing everything around your character to 'sneak' is like having a drone follow you the whole time.. feels fake and cheap.
