Decided to run last stand for the first time, and holy jesus!
I don't think I've seen less balanced PvP since 1.0 DZ!
First off the match making looked like this.
With the average "level?" of my team being 8.6 and the average level of the enemy team being 26.6, half my team (myself included) had no idea what the heck we were doing.
But whatever, let's have some fun.
Then I hit the seeker mine spam.
Seriously there was one going off every 15 or so seconds, sometimes 2 or three hitting at once. I don't know how many there were but it was absolutely insanity. I spent most of my time trying to dodge seeker mines. Every single time I was hit they did over half my life in damage, I would try to get into cover, heal, get a teammate up, but there was another seeker mine on its way to finish me off, or at least put me close to death again.
The insane part was we were presented with very few targets to shoot at. The more knowledgeable players on both sides simply stayed in cover and spammed seeker mines. Sure there were a few of us that actually shot guns at one another but it was few and far in between. there was also some insane healing going on, though I wasn't clear on what skill was doing that.
I can't help but feel this is not how last stand was meant to be played, am I missing something here?
Also how the heck to you counter those seeker mines? They don't even show an explosion radius.
Last Stand rank is number which have nothing with how good player is but how long it playing game. Even you do nothing you get few points for each game, so your performance can be very bad and still you can earn rank 40, same as rank i DZ just saying that you play DZ lot, but not that you plays it good.
As i wrote in another thread, usually i run my Tact build 270K DPS - 270 Thoughness - 390K AP (at the start, then i'm able to reach more than 500k AP almost always during game). Airburst, obviously. I'm an average player (not the best, not the worst). Usually i end the round with 8/9 kills.. sometimes few more or sometimes few less.
Then i've changed my build into SMG + Striker. Now i've got 390K DPS (able to reach more than 500K) - 390K T and more or less 100K AP. Now i finish rounds with more than 15 kills, sometimes more than 20 kills.
The question now is spontaneous: seem to be easier killing people with Tact + Airburst (1 button, as many of you say) or with SMG+Striker?
So please stop always whining about builds that melt us. EVERY build, if built smartly, is deadly. And EVERY build has weaknesses. Simply play with the build you prefer, make you kills and have fun. Tact + Airburst is not GOD and you can resist it in a really easy way.
As always, i apologize for my english.
Rank means nothing after all the cheesing, that said I'm a legit 40problem I have with last stand isn't seekers (although annoying getting one shotted), it's the useless teammates I get put up with. Most of the time I'm getting outnumbered and just think to myself where the **** are my teammates? Oh that's right 4 of them are going for a tactical boost smh.
I wasn't really having a problem with being 1 shot. that would be insane if seeker mines could 1 shot. It was more like this.
1 Run into battle with my team get into cover and pulse enemy locations.
2 Seeker mine explosion over my head, "Holy crap that hurt."
3 Roll away from cover, pop first aid find new cover.
4 Seeker mine explosion over my head, "OMG again!?"
5 Panic Spam med kit because I'm dying, "Whew safe."
6 Look for targets, see 5-6 in cover 2-3 running around shooting, put a few bullets into them get a kill or 2.
7 Spot a seeker mine coming for me, "Roll, Roll! ROLL you idiot! Made it!"
8 Notice that 2 teammates went down to seeker mines, run in to help them up.
9 Seeker mine explosion over my head, "Seriously!?"
10 Seeker mine explosion over my head, "Noooooo! I'm down!"
11 Teammate sees me down and runs over to help... Seeker mine explosion over my head!
Many times when I was down, I was killed by a bullet. and I myself killed plenty of people who were crawling around. So I can see why/how a firearms build could get more "Kills."
But I was almost always downed by seeker mines. I simply do not understand how to counter this sort of play. I don't see how increasing my exotic resilience will help unless I don't understand the math. Can enough exotic resilience make seeker mines deal less than 20% of your max health? Because I was seeing by 3-5 mines in a row. Also what is the cooldown on those things in the seeker mine build? I swear it has to be under 10 seconds. Which is insane.
The problem is that it's so effective, almost every one is running it. It's just sheer chaos with how many seekers are constantly going off. EDR can't even help at this point.
It would be more balanced if they only went for targets in line of sight, at least for PvP. It's silly that a player can not even KNOW someone is around and still nail kills left and right.
