Ran into an Elite in the LZ...

Not a named boss. Just some random elite.
I think this is my first one ever.

    Rioter grenadier.

This is not on par with the DZ but it was a welcome sight.

The LZ could use a Challenging difficulty and some other improvements.

The open world area is well done artistically, but it's boring.

Waybrook are you suggesting a difficulty mode with in a world tier to let the player choose the enemy type they would like to battle against yet not altering the drops from said enemies?

Fabulous idea Darling. Massive, make it happen.

Red bar enemies are boring. I actually made a thread about it this week in the suggestions subforum:

The open world is the best part of this game and neglecting it is a mistake.

The hardest open world boss has to be Jacks and his shield. We had a good battle of the shields when I was using one but even without one he is still b*tch to kill. I was messing about with a skill build and a shield, it was a great battle but only because I finally killed him.

He's awkward but 5-6 headshots from my M700 sorts him out.
There is an elevated platform accessible using a rope that is a great spot for sniping near his spawn point.

With D3-FNC just shoot his backpack.

It's not the most difficult, once you have a strategy... mine is (in spoiler tags in case you don't want to read and figure a strategy for yourself):

    Spoiler:  Show

You basically need to make him plant his shield in a position where you can hit the red ammo pouch attached to his backpack from a position of cover. A few hits to it, it starts detonating, Jack start flailing his arms, and is completely vulnerable. This is easily done if you approach from the south, take cover on the left of the street, soot at him, kill the mobs, while every so often shoot at Jack so he won't move, then once you killed all the mobs, just go to the right, around the truck parked on the corner, hit the ammo box on the backpack, then wail away.

The most annoying boss for me is Chains, since I play solo, and there are many, many mobs that can be aggro'd from very far.

I was using the exotic Tenebrae for something different after I had dropped my shield. M700 seems like a good tactic.

Exactly, that heavy Rikers hits really hard and due to their dmg output it is not so easy hit their weak point at backpack as in case of LMB havies.

I usually aggro that LMB guy with shield as I arrive directly to his back and I can shoot it from point blank.

Hmmm...I don't think any of the bosses are "hard" but Apollo is one of the most tedious because of the sheer numbers of LMB....and seeker mines. LOL

But I'm not talking about bosses. Just a random no name elite.
