I used to rely on hipfire on console to win fights, because it required a certain amount of skill and many players didn't use it. It required a fair bit of practice.

But, something has definitely happened with auto aim. It's ridiculously easy to do now, without any need for skill to lock onto targets. And now everyone has realised this, last stand is nothing but hipfiring.

The hipfire nerf was ok, even though it killed a play style I worked to get good at (more average than good tbh). This auto aim thing is a problem imo, because now anyone can do it without even being good, and in the current form, can land more bullets from auto aim hipfire than actually aiming with ads.

The 'auto lock' hip fire on console is a real issue. It would be great if you could let us know if this is being looked at Matt? The hip fire situation was actually better before as it at least required some skill but now it's just cheese. Surely the change should've encouraged/rewarded people that ADS but the 'lock on' and increase to body damage has made the situation worse. Obviously things could only be tested on PC through the PTS but seeing how have panned out on the consoles now things are live is there any likelihood of things being tweaked or should I just get gud at the circle lock-on dance.

Agreed. I'd rather 1.5 hipfire, that one at least required real skill. Auto aim in 1.6 is ridicolous.

There is ****ing auto-aim to the max on hip firing now. It's not even funny. I run double ARs right now and usually face tank because my heal will take me from black bar to full overheal, but if I need to hip fire, I don't even have to touch my right stick because of how insane the auto-aim is for it. It's pretty silly tbh...
