Like for example thin walls and stuff? Is this what 'Penetration' is on a guns stats? Because I swear I can't shoot through a dry-wall to hit somebody and that annoys me!

I have been able to pop through sheet metal and other various materials but heaven forbid if I can shoot through a cloth tent.

I've shot a Narc through a sheet metal fence (was using the most powerful sniper rifle) so it can be done if your weapon has high enough penetration and damage stats.

Oh, and watch out for the kevlar tents, as DaGnome mentioned - they aren't just cloth.

Like others have said. Unless of course your AI. On the hack the computer side missions, I've seen my guys shoot through the brick. (Sometime's you're able to sync a shot if they hear you outside.)

I play xbox one and I have been shooting through tents no problem. Hard structures such as brick and metal have worked provided I remove my silencer

Consistency isn't a thing in this game. I've emptied an entire LMG clip into an enemy hiding around a corner of a tent with no effect. Yesterday I did the same with an AR mag into a guy on a mounted gun from the side through netting to the same (lack of) effect. I would suspect their values for angles of deflection, penetration and materials are borked.

Was there something inside the tent that may be blocking the shot such as resource / ammo box, furniture, ext? I only ask because the only time I have not been able to shoot a tent was when there was a comm box on the inside between the tent and my intended target.
